Im pretty sure that hasn't been done but comeon there's no question as the which movie would win there. DN beat GF by a pretty wide margin. What chance does DAD have?
I know this one hasn't been done, but I think DAD vs MR has.
Oh, 21-17
We actually had that as its own thread a while back, and it got very repetitve and sparked much aggressive arguments between the Brosnan fans and the Craig fans. It was U-G-L-Y!! Probably want to stay away from that one!
And also, as it pains me very much to say this, Goldfinger has won over GoldenEye with 21-17 votes. Ugh....I am truly ashamed!
All right, here's the next line-up, and I think it's going to be a good one!
The Spy Who Loved Me vs. License to Kill
But it is up against Spy. A movie that has all the elements that I thought Bond should have. At least as a young man.
Epic and full adventure based, or gritty, violent and thrilling?
The Spy Who Loved Me
But it really is a photo finish.
Yep the thread was started by yours truly.
LTK gets my vote. I suspect this match to be very close as it really divides fans into camps.
9. License to Kill (1989) - 7.5/10
10. You Only Live Twice (1967) - 7.5/10
11. Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) - 7/10
12. Octopussy (1983) - 7/10
13. For Your Eyes Only (1981) - 7/10
14. The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) - 7/10
Its just got a sense of style and elegance LTK could only dream of. Carley Simon, the pyramids and THAT jump.
20. Licence To Kill
19. You Only Live Twice
18. Tomorrow Never Dies
17. A View To A Kill
16. Diamonds Are Forever
15.The World Is Not Enough
14. Goldfinger
13. The Living Daylights
12. Live And Let Die
11. Thunderball
10. Quantum Of Solace
9. Goldeneye
8. Casino Royale
7. For Your Eyes Only
6. On Her Majesty's Secret Service
5. Dr. No
4. Octopussy
3. From Russia With Love
2. The Spy Who Loved Me
Spy is still gilt edged Bond though.
So, LTK
If only all Bond films could be like Spy.
Marvelous as it is, I only want or need one TSWLM. And what is wrong with the lovely Barbara? One of my favourite Bond girls!
A clear vote for The Spy Who Loved Me
Any Bond movie that ENDS with a monster truck chase has major problems.
What's #1? It can only be MR, TMWTGG, or DAD. Maybe the 3 most hated entries in the series. Any way you cut it you're an iconoclast.
Dalton's superb in it. The story's great. Nice action and there's something about Glen's directing that I thoroughly enjoy.
LTK
I'm with the LTK crowd too. A seriously serious film seriously done right, seriously. And the tanker chase is some of the best action I've seen. Great climax indeed.
