this angel is a grave marker in a local cemetery close to where i live... it's creepy as hell, especially in person.... it's one of the most popular attractions (as morbid as that sounds) when photographing around the cemetery.. in this cemetery are also the graves for President James A. Garfield, and Elliot Ness.

Her face creepy for sure! I can imagine how scary that would look in the dark. :P

Indeed. It reminds me of a creature you'd see in Hellboy.

Not something I'd want over even my worst enemy's grave.

@DiscoVolante has a great ring to it. I instantly picture Largo. Also, @MajorDSmythe is an awesome name.

The cheque is in the post.

Evidently, mine got lost in the post... ;)

My user name is a rumoured title from twine, a movie any title would not have saved :)

I think @BeatlesSansEarMuffs is a great one! I like @Dragonpol too, of course.
  • I was just about to say @BeatlesSansEarmuffs. @ThighsOfXenia is a pretty good one too. There's another whose name escapes me currently.

David Dragonpol is the serial killing ex-actor villain of Never Send Flowers (1993) by John Gardner, a James Bond continuation novel where Dragonpol plots to kill Princess Diana and her sons on a trip to Euro Disney.

Another great idea - who's going to tie the bell on the cat, then?

It's a fable about the mouse who came up with the clever plan of putting a bell around the cat's neck so they could hear it approach. It was a clever plan, but the problem was who would out of the mice put the bell round the cats neck?

So, it's the same with your avatar thread idea...or something.

If we get the awards up and running again soon, this is one of the categories. :-bd

Of course, I do enjoy mine a good deal. ;) Says it all, for me.

I also really like quite a few: StirredNotShaken, BeatlesSansEarmuffs, SirHenryLeeChaChing, the livingroyale, DiscoVolante, LicensedToKilt69007, retrokitty (yay! She's back!), DarthDimi (whatever the heck that means),

And two from a while ago but I do not see them anymore: LiveandEatPie and Crab_Of_Doom. Am I wrong, are they still lurking?

@Dragonpol it might have been but in all honesty it's by way of a small rememberance to the one
and only Desmond Llewelyn and the small part he had in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Geez, how I like that name: danslittlefinger. Wish he were back on here!

And yes, DC, yours is good, too, and rather original.

Ah, @Mrcoggins, I need to see Chitty Chitty Bang Bang again - it has been decades and I do not remember Desmond. I so loved him as Q; I'd enjoy seeing him in anything else.
