We all like a good view, don't we? And that's certainly the case when it comes '70s Bond locations, for, yes, Rio and those unpronounceable waterfalls in the rainforest take the gold, folks. Heights are far from a problem too when it comes to our silver medalist, what with Spy's pre-title-sequence-starring and starkly stunning Mount Asgard capturing second place, while - you may double-take like a pigeon - but it's the home of the Bondola, MR's Venice, that completes the trio of medalists, making it a top three sweep for mid-Rog era locations.
Meanwhile, the unquestionably exotic Bangkok/ Phuket and Cairo/ Giza finish fourth and fifth respectively, while America's pair of locales from The 'Die (New Oreans/ the Bayou and Noo Yawk) book-end Sardinia in seventh. And, yes, Hong Kong can feel a little miffed to be outside the top eight and in ninth, ensuring (unlike in many a real Olympics) China's wait continues to get on the...

So, with England taking a week off and not competing in this event, it was an opportunity for other countries to pull their socks up and try and make a decent impression on the Medal Table. Well done to Brazil then, who by landing a gold medal also land straight into joint sixth place. Elsewhere, Canada's silver see them leap up the table to fifth, but the big winner of the event was, in fact, Italy, whose bronze and seventh-place finish has hauled them up to fourth place, just three points behind the Welsh in third.
Sitting pretty in second are the States still, who accrued a welcome four points from this contest, while respective - and very respectable - fourth and fifth place finishes in the event for Thailand and Egypt see both nations makes their debut on the table.
And Event 6 coming right up, folks...! :)
<i>The competitors:</i>
Sean Bean (Alec Trevelyan, GE)
Jonathan Pryce (Elliot Carver, TND)
Sophie Marceau (Elektra King, TWINE)
Robert Carlyle (Renard, TWINE)
Toby Stephens (Gustav Graves, DAD)
<font color=white>-</font>Mads Mikkelsen (Le Chiffre, CR)
Mathieu Amalric (Dominic Greene, QOS)
<font color=white>-</font>Jesper Christensen (Mr White, CR, QOS)
So, the task is simple... please arrange the eight competitors above into your favoured ordering - first to last (greatest to least) in terms of their <i>contribution to the cinematic James Bond</i>.
Voting for this event should remain open for <i>about a week</i>, after which the results and the updated Medal Table will be posted in this thread (as well as in the thread's opening post).
Oh, and just a reminder - when you do vote, please vote in this manner, chaps (as outlined in the thread's opening post); makes it a hell of a lot easier for me when I'm totting up the totals... ;)
1st place (<font color=DarkOrange>Gold</font>) = 10 points
