Scripts

Hey gang, I stumbled accross these scripts, does anyone know how genuine they are as some of them are formatted in a strange way and the Goldeneye script has `oh yeah` written at the end of it.

And does anyone know of any other bond scripts are online. I got a copy of the Casino royale one saved on my computer, very interesting to read.

What scripts? Or are they just the ones you're referring to?

I believe that most of those are simply transcriptions done by fans. The TND script seems to be the only one that appears genuine.

Is there a Bond 17(with Dalton in mind) script around? About the film that'd been Dalton's third?

Oh, I'd really like to read that one. Also Michael France's early draft of GoldenEye from the time Dalton hadn't quit yet. I believe they had to adapt the script to Pierce Brosnan's portrayal of Bond.

I've always wondered what would have happened if Dalton would have stuck around.
  • Sorry I hope this is the right place for this bit of tit bit news but could any one shed more light on this please about Dr. No being played by a Monkey in the original script.

I got to the part where M says:

"... What were you saying, Admiral? Something about this 'not being a job for a wine-sniffing, skirt-chasing playboy spy?"

    That was enough for me.

BS! There is no way. One mistake like that could have made DN a complete flop. We'd have no famous Sean and wouldn't be celebrating 50 years of the cinematic Bond this year. Bless the stars above that hole thing didn't go through. That HAS to be a joke.
  • What I recall reading is that Richard Maibaum and Wolf Mankowitz didn't like the Dr. No character. So in their first draft, it was revealed there was another villain who had a pet monkey he named Dr. No. I *think* the idea was the villain had built up all this fear in Jamaica about "Dr. No" as a way of shifting attention away from himself.

In any event, Albert R. Broccoli said no and they went back to something closer to the novel. The anecdote is mentioned in Broccoli's autobiography and other reference sources.

Okay with refinements... But i hope the name "Harmsway" is used at some point.
