Which one is the best gunbarrel for you? Or the one that you think that is very well made?

PS: Not necessary to be a gunbarrel from the Bond movies, only. Youtube has a variety of gunbarrels very greatly made and their hall of fame can be right here.

Well, my favourite gunbarrel is GE one. For the new innovating "moving texture" on the back, and the new Bond, of course. Brosnan acted very well on that one, the best of all of them.

strictly based off of the music, I love the gunbarrel from FYEO..

combining music, the gunbarrel, and the Bond... i've grown to love the Lazenby one..

  • My favourite is Octopussy. Think the music is great and Moore´s walk is perfect IMO. Close second is OHMSS!

I go for Goldfinger, which has really perfect music and timing:

And TLD, which is just stunning!

And for an runner up, i gotta place TND:
  • LTK wins for me. Right off the bat you know you're going to see a different and intense Bond movie.

I agree. The music was different for starters and yes, you know this is gonna be a different and tense film.
I always thought Brosnan looked too stiff in his gunbarrells ( I did like the synthesizer used for GE)

I liked the way OHMSS shows the producers names as the white dots move across (carry over from DN)

Anybody else ever wonder why the first three films the red wash looks diluted and is not the deep red that covers everything just kinda washes over it?

^Because they used the same one and the red dot turns into the "O" of No as in Dr. No(as This one gose straight into the tiles). For FRWL and GF they just cut before the "Ian Flemings....". When they reshot the Gunbarrel for TB we got the effect we all know and love.

My favourite is, and always has been, the GE gunbarrel :) It just sounds so different and Pierce really walks with style. Everytime I watch a movie with the old mid 90s UA logo I half expect GE to start lol

    A final comment:
They used Simmons' for the first three films and when they went to the widescreen format for TB they had to reshoot for scope this time using Sean Connery.
They used this for his next two films, YOLT and DAF (YOLT is shown in black and white while DAF has a funky blue tint.
Lazenby's is unique as the sides of the gunbarrel looks like colors in a spectrum (this was also used for DAF)
LALD and TMWTGG used the same gun barrel but when they returned to the widescreen format for TSWLM it had to be re done for scope. Also Roger is wearing a tux now (he wore a business suit in his first two films)
They kept with this and just changed the music some for the rest of Moore's films...
Dalton's is the same except for the music in LTK
Brosnan's remains consistent except for DAD with that silly CGI bullet. I liked the music they used for GE and wish they had kept it consistent during Brosnan's films.
    Anyway, maybe it's just me...

The Living Daylights: Gunbarrel perfection. That classic John Barry music coupled with Dalton's confidant walk and slick swoop make up one cool gunbarrel.

Licence To Kill: As DoubleOhhSeven said, as soon as you hear the music, you just know this is going to be different.

GoldenEye: How it should have been.

Two Bond Gunbarrel: Would make for a good Connery / Dalton double-bill.

License to kill was definitely a good one. So smooth!

We had an elimination game on this last year. I believe the top 2 were

    1. OHMSS
    2. LTK

This was somewhat controversial as many felt that Lazenby's 'moonwalking' in OHMSS made his GB look cheap. But it was his knee drop coupled with John Barry's Moog synthesizer take on Bond theme that put it at #1. The unusual music cue for the GB is what propelled LTK to the #2 spot.

The Bob Simmons ones ranked highly as well (DN-GF). FYEO ranked highly for Moore too.

The bottom 2 were QOS and DAD, if memory serves, followed by the Brosnans and CR.

It would be interesting to see how this would pan out now, since we have a lot of new members since then...

why DAD was last one? it was cool too, although about the bullet effect.
  • TWINE had a great gunbarrel sequence imo, and of course LTK, long live Dalts!

OHMSS is the best one IMO. The reason? Lazenby dropping on one knee. That, and the music, which is excellent. I also like the music in the YOLT, FYEO and LTK ones as well.

My favorite gun barrel is from For Your Eyes Only, that is one hell of a theme.

    1. For Your Eyes Only
    2. GoldenEye
    3. Goldfinger
    4. Dr. No
    5. Casino Royale (If you wanna count that one...)

I guess you could say that I like the weirder ones...(minus GF). The only ones I really don't care for are Golden Gun, TSWLM and DAD (for that bullet). The rest are all quite excellent.

That's exactly why, also the David Arnold music.

My top 003 are TMWTGG, YOLT and TB.
  • Fav gunbarrel is Diamonds Are Forever followed 2nd by From Russia With Love.

DAF had that brilliant echoish dramatic sound and when played on high definition TV it really is excellent.
  • I like the brosnan ones, especially the TND and TWINE ones. I also like the CR one because it was really original.

But the best has to be LTK, the way it builds up to the gunshot, and its different and original. LTK has the best gunbarrel, the best bond, and to top it all of its the best bond film.

I can't really argue with that, too much. ;) Though TLD is still #1 for me (LTK is #2), there are still some aspects of LTK that I prefer to TLD, such as the main villain.

  • Are we all agreed the QoS is lame and Craig looks stiff and rushed?

Nope. It is fine. The problem is that it is on the end, not on beggining of the film.

I loved the For Your Eyes Only Gunbarrel. It had that funky vibe to it.

For me. I always loved Pierce Bronsan's Gunbarrel's. My favorite out of all of them is Goldeneye. It sounded mysterious.
