Maybe Sherlock starts smoking cigs again?
Nah ... something better than that, I'm sure.

By the way, I am going to try to get an internet service provider so I can watch shows that air in England. Wish me luck. I'm going to sign up this evening after I get back home. Hope this works out well for me! There are so many shows I'd love to see. Sherlock is #1 for me, though.

Very, very nice. And we had talked about this possibility. By the way
is this guy related to Mads Mikkelsen?

Bumping this because apparently there is something being releaved by the end of today's repeat of Reichenbach Fall. Here are some photos that have been tweeted:

I didn't realise it was being repeated tonight. Thanks for the reminder. I can't wait to find out how the ending of this episode will be explained in the new series.

I can't wait for this. Let's hope it lives up to the standard already set by the previous episodes.

Oh I'm so going to enjoy this new season! Looking forward to it. The first two have already impressed the hell out of me so my expectations for S3 are running extremely high.

Any theories on how he survived at the end of Season 2?

On another note, I prefer Arnold's score in this show to most of the work he has done so far on Bond (with one or two exceptions)

well, I have no definite idea.
    I think
Molly helped him for sure to fake it

    I'm thinking this:
Sherlock dressed up Moriarty in his coat and hat and threw him off the roof. Watson was disoriented from being knocked over, hence the blurred camera

@4EverBonded, I'm with you on that, love. That was my first idea when watching the final episode too.

And if I had to guess, I'd say:
I didn't add the spoiler right, whew! Good thing I saw it. Although not a spoiler just my 2 cents. Some folks think Watson was hallucinating or that Sherlock fell into the nearby bin. I think something underneath his long bulky coat helped somehow ...

If you go back a few pages in this thread, @WillyGalore, you´ll find page upon page of speculation concerning how he did it ;-).

It was a great teaser indeed. I managed to watch it live yuppi! I am rewatching the two seasons (yet again). Can't wait for the new one.

@4EverBonded and @DarthDimi if there is something I am sure it is that, she was most definitely in.
  • Saw the repeat and I have a few thoughts on the "death" bit. Not sure if any of these have been mentioned before.

    1) He also has to fool the hit men into thinking he's killed himself. So that rules out a few theories.

    2) The little girl crapped herself when she saw him. So Moriarty probably had a Sherlock mask when he kidnapped her.

    3) Moriarty might not be dead either (although he probably is). When he was hiding with Jen off the IT Crowd "pretending" to be an actor, what if he wasn't pretending?

He had a "fake" CV but a chat with the TV channels or even a quick google search would prove if any of the stuff he did was actually real and a journalist would have to do some checking.

What if he managed to find an actor who looked like him (maybe even a twin brother? Moriarty could be a fake name, or maybe his brother chose a stage name for some reason), and somehow intimidated him into killing himself on the building.

Otherwise, it seems weird that Moriarty would kill himself. Would he be really so scared of Sherlock getting the code that he'd blow his own brains out?

And why would he even have a code? Surely it'd make much more sense if Sherlock dying was the only way to call off the assassins?

No I'm pretty sure that Moriarty is alive and it's all just part of his game. Otherwise he killed himself for pretty much no reason.

In that video above, Moffat explicitly states that Moriarty is dead. Somehow I can´t imagine he would tell a prank on such an occasion.

The fact that a picture of the coming season´s villain has been released corroborates Moriarty´s death.

As Moriarty states, there never was a code. Moriarty saw himself intellectually much superior to almost everybody else in a rather nihilistic way. He committed crimes because he could. Because it amused him. He felt so much affinity with Sherlock because he saw not only the greatest danger to his life but also a huge entertaining challenge in Sherlock. He valued Sherlock´s demise higher than his own life, because after Sherlock he didn´t see any more challenges in life. Thus he didn´t have qualms to shoot himself when he saw that he could thus squash any hopes Sherlock might have had to make Moriarty call the killers off.

The site reacts so fast that I got sloppy and got only 91%. I feel ashamed.

Backing up comments made last year, the plan is to make Sherlock for a long time yet. Can anyone say '20 year run'? :)

Moffat: "Benedict and Martin have been announcing on various red carpets that they're happy to come back and keep doing it. It would be quite nice to do it for a long, long time - let them age and become the normal aged Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson."

As long as the passion is still alive and everyone wants to keep doing it with the same love and dedication intact every time scripts are written and cameras roll, this is an eventuality that I would love seeing.

I would love to see this happen! As long as they continue in the same vein as what has gone before?
