Terrifying to know that the people at the BFI will know how Sherlock survived at least six weeks before me :(( .

I love you all and Sherlock, but I shall not be returning until I have seen the episodes. I want to go into series three completely unspoiled, internet be damned, and am determined in my mission to do so. Cheers!

@0BradyM0Bondfanatic for me you can be at peace, I won't be posting spoiler. However, I can't promise anything for others and I understand if you want to stay away. However, stay a bit longer, we won't have anything real to spoil for at least a month I think.

I've already seen that bits of plot synopsis are out, and now so am I. I will be back soon enough, and will still talk the Lock (I like the sound of that) at the other Holmes thread here. ;)

Any BFI members here, who attempted to get tickets? I logged in and waited for it to go live. It was sold out, literally immediately. The last time something like that happened was when TDKR crashed their website.

    That's pretty impressive!

Well, TDKR is not so impressive in comparison with Sherlock :-B .

I was speaking of the fact that Sherlock sold out, obviously /:)

I know. What I was trying to say was that even though TDKR was a rather impressive film it nonetheless is outshined by Sherlock. Call it Sherlockian arrogance ;-).

According to composers Michael Price and David Arnold, the soundtrack for the last episode of series 3 is being recorded today. According to Michael Price:

It's time. Sherlock ep3. More strings than ever before. More epicness. More tears.

Also, a photo released by Arnold:

Sadly, he was careful enough not to show any of the score.

I live in hope that we will see the first episode very very soon. Two years of wait is a hell of a long time!

15th December or 5th January. It will be one of those dates. If scoring is still in progress, maybe it's the later.

Then we have something to look forward to after Christmas.
And to be honest, the anticipation is quite fun. Just like the wait for the new Bond-film is half the pleasure :)

As soon as these three episodes are over, it'll be back to waiting all over again with yet another cliffhanger to discuss. I agree, the waiting is all part of the fun.

Although it's reassuring to know that the cast and crew seems to enjoy doing this show to the point that they can continue for a few more seasons!

The main cast will go until they're in their 50's, so that's a good 20 years in total. I can still see Sherlock being made in 2030 if the public want it.

And if they can keep up the quality of course.

With so much to work from, I'd like to think they can.

To everybody on here as fans of the Sherlock series - have any of you read the original Doyle story, The Sign of Four? We are discussing it now on the other Sherlock thread. I'd just like to hear your general opinion of the story and if you think that Gatiss and Moffat will put much of the original story into the upcoming new Sherlock episode?

I join @4EverBonded, please give us your thoughts on this matter. Perhaps someone will come up with a brilliant idea close to what we'll get ;)

An interview I read a while back but forgot to post. Warning, major spoiler:

    http://www.scotsman.com/what-s-on/tv-radio/sherlock-star-amanda-abbington-on-the-new-series-1-3148861#.UmOhwV27ESU.twitter

An interesting interview by an interesting person. By the way, she is hilarious to follow on twitter. Which brings me to a recent development in her twitter profile, small but crucial:
Her profile used to say "Does acting. Is a mom. Loves a Martin." Then, they got dogs and it became "Does acting. Is a mom. Has dogs. Loves a Martin." but now she just changed it into "Does acting. Is a mum. Has dogs. Loves a Martin. Plays a Mary..."
Until now she hadn't said anything except in that interview. It's the first time she's open about it.

Is someone going to come put a gun to my head and force me to watch more 'Sherlock'? I STILL haven't done it, and I've checked in here numerous times about it over the past few months. Someone, please, anyone. I must watch it, yet I tease myself with it and then never get around to it. I know once I start by rewatching the first series that I won't mind because I'll get to the second series in no time, which I've yet to see, but I am just taking my sweet old time with it, which is bad.

@Sandy, duly noted! Wanted to play a little 'Battlefield 4' this morning, I'll get to 'Sherlock' today ;-) I promise! Someone hold me to it, I must catch up on this show.

@Creasy47, playing Battlefield will make you numb and dumb. Watching Sherlock will make you rich and famous! Watch it now!
