  • THIS CHAP (points at self) is engaged as of 1/1/2015

And since I was in a 'marriage' sort of mood I searched the internet for a closeup of Bond's ring from OHMSS.
Here's a fun bit of trivia: did you know Bond's wedding ring for Tracy was HIDEOUS?

I know it abstractly says 'all the love in the world' and that's sweet and all but DAMN

Brilliant news, @Master_Dahark. You've shared many photos of the both of you with us over the years, and to hear that you are both making the leap is great, as you always seem so happy together. I suggest recreating the style and design of Bond and Tracy's wedding from the end of OHMSS for yours, including a hat toss. ;)

Hmmm I hadn't considered the hat toss....
however I did have many OO7 isms planned for the wedding, starting with ordering this tux!

A replica of the one worn in Casino Royale. I've bought a few things from this website before, and while pricey at a glance, the quality is top notch, custom tailored and the shipping from overseas is included in the price.

It is quite concerning? He usually fronts a lot of the publicity when a new Bond film is in production? Whatever is going on I think we can assume it is quite serious? All I can say is we all hope to see you soon MGW!!!

I see someone managed to get the Prime Minister's phone number from GCHQ
And called him, got put through before good old Dave smelled a rat. ;)
I'm guessing they'll be a few vacancies at GCHQ come Monday ! :))

Robbie Coltrane (Valentin Zukovsky in Goldeneye and Twine) taken to hospital after falling ill on flight
Digital Spy | See recent Digital Spy - Movie News news »

Robbie Coltrane was taken to hospital after falling ill on a flight on Thursday (January 29).

The actor had been travelling from London to Orlando to attend a special Harry Potter celebration event.

However, on arrival in the Us the actor - who played Hagrid in the Potter movies - was taken to a local hospital, where he is now resting.

His agent has confirmed that he is "fine" and is expected to be discharged in the coming days.

Warner Bros commented: "Robbie took ill last night and is getting the rest he needs to feel better. We are sorry he cannot be with us this weekend and look forward to seeing him up and about soon."

Coltrane was due to join Michael Gambon, James Phelps and Evanna Lynch for the annual 'A Celebration of Harry Potter event' at Universal Resort Orlando this weekend.

The 64-year-old joined his fellow cast members

Does anyone else find it difficult to watch shows/films that have foreign characters speaking (accented) English to one another? I've gotten used to shows like the Americans that have people speak their native language to one another with subtitles and it feels much more real to me. Watching some old episodes of the Saint and everywhere he goes people not only speak perfect English to Simon (except when he needs to pick up a girl by showcasing his language abilities ;) but they speak English to one another. Their English accents even show, which takes me out of the moment.

Bond + Land Rover made me think of this ... Land Rover has just firmed up an even stronger partnership with the Born Free Foundation - this video shows some things that Born Free Foundation are doing to help tigers (focus on tiger protection in this clip, but that is only one of so many valid and inspirational - including rescuing wild animals from abuse, saving retired/neglected circus animals, stopping poachers - lots of front line work that this foundation does). http://www.bornfree.org.uk/

(And yes, this foundation was founded by Virginia McKenna, along with her husband, Bill Travers, from the firm, Born Free. They have grown and developed into a strong, vital organization to help animals, and their son, Will, is carrying this forward. As you can tell, this is one of my favorite animal welfare/rescue organizations.)

From Jan 20th twitter: Today we relocate rescued circus lionesses #Maggie&Sonja to a new home in @Shamwari #Lions http://www.bornfree.org.uk/campaigns/big-cats/big-cat-rescue/maggie-and-sonja/ … …

You can follow them on twitter @BFFoundation and Facebook (see their main website for details and a look at their many projects and efforts worldwide).

I heard about the fire, but didn't know the details. Pierce is right: objects aren't important, lives are. Glad to hear that he and his are all okay.

"The man, who said he would prefer to be called The Shadow after the popular comic, stepped in to save a City worker from a violent mugging."

    ---

I love that he makes a point that he isn't inspired in his war on crime by Batman, but The Shadow. B-) Though I was expecting him to be going about his crime fighting actually dressed as The Shadow. Complete with twin 45's, naturally.
