    Gorillaz - Clint Eastwood.

    Whatever happened to the Gorillaz?

    Whatever happened to Clint Eastwood?

    We'll never know.

A good choice! Certainly one of the most iconic songs of the 00's. And videos.

Gorillaz for life. They're supposed to release their next album next year! So much hype. I love their music (or his; Albarn's).

No mission creep. I'd just like to say that it is a shame the terrorist attacks thread has been closed down. It was an interesting avenue of discussion until it was hijacked. The mods gave the combatants more than fair warning & were left with no option but to lock it down so I'm confident those who wished to stay on topic will understand.

Gorillaz to me have always occupied that space between the mainstream and the indie. Same with Daft Punk.

Timothy Dalton looks like a wolf. When you started mentioning wolves, I knew there was a real chance.

Such a sadness - Roger Federer pulls out of the Olympics and the US Open. At 35 (in August) this could mean the end of the career for one of sports greats. So sad to hear.

Never been that into tennis, but have always been impressed with his track record. At his age, such an injury can be career threatening. Looks like Novak Djokovic will be the new number one for the years to come.

As a Swiss I'm especially sad by this. But we don't complain. Roger has given us so much and he is the best tennis player ever. At 35 it would be perfectly ok to retire too.

Djoker may be the No 1 for the next years, but even that is uncertain. He is only 29 and regularly has problems. And Nadal, well he is over anyway since a couple of years really.

My hopes lie in Murray. It would be wonderful if he could dominate in the next couple of years and win more Grand Slam tournaments.

Do like Murray, good player. Read somewhere that he and Djokovic have played each other over 30 times! It will be interesting to see how those matches will end up in the future.

Talking about Murray, there's also this:

Andy has all the momentum on his side going into the US open. It would be great if he could finally beat Djok in a final again after losing to him in so many over the last few years. Still, I really wish Federer could have won Wimbledon this year, like one last hurrah. Sad to end on a whimper after such a great career.

The 2008 Wimbledon final will go down in history as the greatest tennis match ever played.

Today Norway has its flags raised, as on this day in 1030 King Olav the Holy was killed in battle. He was responsible for christening Norway. Those who opposed converting would get their heads chopped off. He was basically a terrorist just like the IS.
