But seriously,the 2 films scores are almost identical in places.

It's uncanny,some of the notes are exactly the same,how did nobody mention anything when LTK came out ,it was only 2 years later !
Parts of the TLD score can be found in a part of The Quiller Memorandum (1966) so the late great John Barry was not immune from this phenomenon either.
