I hope Mayweather knocks the stuffing out of McGregor. That is all. I won't be watching the fight however as I have to work early yet again.

    Where's your Irish spirit, @Dragonpol! ;)

Ah, he's just too full of himself for my liking. Would do him the world of good to be taken down a peg or two. We will see how the fight pans out but I hope the unbeaten Mayweather triumphs for another time.

Plot twist: I dive into the ring in the final moments and lay both of them out with one hit each.

'Announcing to the ring for a surprise entrance, a fighter known only as "The Man on Fire!" Let's hear it for him, folks!'

"Here he co -- OHHHHH, and he falls flat on his face coming into the ring and has been knocked out cold."

It is very suspicious that @Creasy47 is talking about knocking both McGregor and Mayweather out, since Denzel Washington is already confirmed to be part of the spectators present at the fight...

Haha, you've got a point there!

Wow. It all makes sense. I always say to myself, "Why have I never seen Denzel and Creasy in the same room at once?" How blind I've been, all these years.

@0BradyM0Bondfanatic7 Well, Denzel/@Creasy47 needs some practice before working on 'Equalizer 2'. ;)

I think this'll be one of those times where the reaction to the event is more entertaining than the event itself. ;)

Conor McGregor said in an interview that there is only 1 person on earth he would never dare to challenge to a fight: Liam Neeson.

He later gave a correction to that interview in order to include one more person to the list: Liam Neeson's shadow.

Agree the event itself is unique the money involved is crazy, I am wondering if the result has already been decided

    Maybe now there's two.

Indeed, but a massive ego can make one blind to danger.

Well I didn't come out and thrash both fighters like I had expected, BUT my random guess was correct. Surprised anyone thought McGregor was going to win that.

The only person that really thought he was going to win was McGregor himself, and he's mad!

Fair play to the guy, but his speech to Floyd after was all class. He's very proud of himself, and a lot of that is Irish pride too, but when he's beaten he doesn't talk his way out of it. He knew exactly what lost him the fight and he gave all the credit to his opponent for a fair and tough bout without excuses. Not much more you can ask of a guy than that.

Noticed on a few threads that alot of spoilers are being posted, there is a spoiler tag some people are behind on certain shows due to work or shows airing later in some country's. Think before you post, thanks. I have been guilty of it myself so I apologise
  • Heartily agree on spoilers. I'm about to watch Logan for the first time this week. Just in the past few days, somebody casually spoiled the ending for me in a completely unrelated discussion in a completely unrelated thread. So that's great.

I saw Gustav Graves do that in one of his poll threads.

I've done all I can to help keep the damn thing on topic, but as usual, no one seems to give a sh*t.
  • Thanks, @Murdock!

I might go in for some juicy Arnold vs. Newman bitchery. And I do love me some typos!
