I'll maybe come back at a later stage and pick who i think will ACTUALLY win.
Totally agree with you on those 3.
It was the score and title song of For Your Eyes Only. Bond has only ever won for Goldfinger's Sound Effects and Thunderball's Special Visual Effects.

Only the song. The score of FYEO was not nominated for an Oscar.
Error in the MI6 article then!
EDIT: Or is it the way one reads the text?...
I know we had that in a thread not too long ago..
Actually there is no snubbing this time imho, the nominations are a pretty decent bunch of movies, for once I like to see Scorcese win for something worthy.

The movie was alright, but I wouldn't say original.. *cough* HANGOVER *cough* HANGOVER PART II *cough*
This is what I've been saying ever since I first saw it. Hangover did the whole idea ALOT better than bridesmaids
"I was actually working on a 'Skyfall' scene that films in London tomorrow, so had to run from my computer to watch the nominations and then right back to 007. I'm enormously honored to have heard my name read alongside those other talented writers. It's a head-spinning company. 'Hugo' has been one of the great joys of my writing life and I'm beyond proud the movie has been so recognized."

Even if the scene is filming tomorrow? It just seems a bit dangerous, a bit too close..
At least they have a screenwirter who can work on the script during filming - they didn't have one during the shooting of QOS. :)
Amen. Though I have my trust in a slight few other than those two, I'm guaranteed a good time with them. (And some oscar nods)
Agreed. @SaintMark I wasn't dissing your opinion, I just don't see how that film fit in that category. It was alright, but other films were far more original. You can't say Bridesmaids was..
Its probably a last minute re-write, or they may shoot multiple scenes depending on where they want to take the story. Logan may have also been laying out the scene for someone like Mendes, or how he pictured it. You don't know it was rewrites. Even though it likely was. Which is in fact, terrifying.
Good point.
But I agree with @JWESTBROOK, for some reason it is 'terrifying'.
No, not yet. This will be his year.

I kind of liked it seeing a movie about women by women getting nominated, would like to see it getting it some recognition. That is just me.
I love Melissa McCarthy and hopes she does well.
In the end it is all about favoritism, but the alternative is letting the general audience vote. ANd if I see some of the trolling that goes on on Imdb.com, I think the current system isnt perfect but beats the fan/trolls voting.
:-\"
Drive is the most overlooked film this awards season. I know it's in for a few bits here and there but none of the top prizes.
Yes, early 2011 was a real downer, but picked up in good speed near the end. Thank the lord for that. #:-S
