The deal gives TMG rights to Peter Jackson's two "The Hobbit" films as well as Sam Mendes-directed James Bond "Skyfall."

Herbert Kloiber's Tele-München Group has signed a five-year TV output deal with MGM that will give TMG German-language small screen rights to the studio's lineup.

The deal, announced Monday, includes rights to Peter Jackson's back-to-back Hobbit films as well as Skyfall, the latest in the James Bond franchise, directed by Oscar-winner Sam Mendes and starring Daniel Craig as 007.

The output deal also includes some 200 titles from MGM's library, including all 22 previous Bond films, sci-fi action classics Terminator and Robocop and the Pink Panther reboot featuring Steve Martin.

"This five year deal with TMG represents significant growth for MGM's European business," said Roma Khanna, president of Television Group and Digital at MGM.

Kloiber added: "The high-quality program additions from MGM don't just mean a good start to the new business year. We are delighted to be able to offer German audiences top films over the coming years."
