MOVEMBER MAN

Errrr i know he does play Bond? This is the hair thread? That was what i was commenting on regarding the pic with Rachel, clue is in the title! :-h
I know a lot of people find talking about an actors hairstyle silly but all elements contribute to a character and film. How much work was done on Sean's grooming when he was at his peak as 007?
And I've said this a few times elsewhere , but I really wish they'd kept the whole ageing Bond thing from SF until a later film. SF should have been more about Bond in his hardened, post-Vesper professional, ruthless prime. B24 or 25 would have been the time and place to explore those ageing themes.
off topic, but it strikes me that Dalton was looking a lot better at DC's age. He could have still just about pulled Bond off into his 50s, as Rog sort of did.
Still, Craig is a decent Bond and I'm happy to see him continue as long as he wants. I can't see any obvious contenders in the wings, apart from Fassbender, and he too is ageing. Dalton bailed out when he easily had one film left in him and Craig could certainly do a B25 if he wanted. A sixth film would really be pushing it a bit though and straying into AVTAK territory.
As for DC, he aged, yes, but he never looked "youthful" even in CR he seemed to look different ages all in one film, as he does in most. Probably due to all the craggy.
But he did look really, really good in the promo for SF, which shows, he still can.
You are right, that he needs some meat on his face bones, otherwise he will look haggard.
Whether or not he will do 25 IMO totally depends on how it will be received. He will be the first to let go, when it doesnt do well enough and when people clearly find him too old.
On the other hand, he has tons of charisma and else to make him convincing. I say, in contrast to SF make him look.as good as possible and, for f..... sake, give the man a decent hairstyle and we have a deal.
I personally think that Bond 25 will be his last movie as Bond.
I think Dan did actually look quite youthful in CR actually. My point about Dalton was not about how old he looked, but how his face aged. Some good looking guys have a good middle aged face and others not so much. Not to say Dan looks awful or anything. I'm sure I'd be happy to be in his condition at 46, or whatever he is. Some chance! Any way, I was just saying that he has not aged as well as Roger and Tim. Tim looked older in TLD than DC did on CR, but ten years later, I think Tim had aged better.
Yep, his eyebrows are next to go.
I saw him in Betrayal on Broadway with Rachel Weisz last year and thought the same thing. Ordinary looking fella but man can he act.
Anway my choices:
Connery -FRWL - thin as it was, I liked his real hair. A little height suited him better compared to the flat toupe he wore from Thunderball onwards. When wig technology improved so he could convincingly have the height in his hair (around the time of The Hunt for Red Ocober) his career improved as well
Lazenby - N/A - only one to pick from
Moore - TMWTGG -thought he looked great here but anything from LALD to MR was the best
Dalton - TLD - it had thinned a lot by LTK so they had to go for a new look which was less than impressive
Brosnan - GE - that's the Brosnan I knew from the 80's and the one I liked the most. He does not look good with short hair IMO
Craig - CR - looked great here and in that promo photo with the PPK. I did not mind SF either. Don't like him with longer hair (like his intro as Bond event in 2005) because it's too thin
Shatner great. LOL.
I just looked up some images of him on google in TB. You might be right.
I just remembered his hair being flatter once he went the toupe route. Maybe I'm selectively remembering the awful bangs from that Japanese thing he had going in YOLT.
I haven't seen TB in a few years. It's one of my favourites, so I'll make time for it during Christmas.
He does look good in casual short sleeve shirts though. I remember thinking he looked very similar to Connery in TB when he wore those Sunspel short sleeves in the Bahamas in CR. Very casual and yet very Bond. He has the physique and muscles to pull that off very well. Brozza, Tim & Rog couldn't do it so well since their arms were too skinny IMO
His hair is still better than Brosnan s.
darker!

Major change in hair colour. I wonder if Eon read some fan comments about his hair and decided to change it?
