True. The rest of the song sucks and Lulu... eugh. Thank god they kept faith with Rog tho. He came good in the end.

The more I think about it, the less I can fix any order. I like ´em all the same.
    Yes, including TMWTGG.

The Moore era did have the best collection of songs. If one were to judge by eras, that is.

Best era for songs, long and far. Most are very positive uplifting ballads, and have a fun sound to them.

    1. Moonraker: Bassey's performance of a lifetime. Barry beautifully captures the feeling of vast outer space. This song sends chills down my spine every time I hear it.
    2. NDIB: The quintessential Moore theme as Bond the romantic, simply unforgettable
    3. LALD: Great rockin' theme, that really builds the suspense up for the film
    4. All Time High: Another gorgeous John Barry melody, during his more orchestral period. LIke NDIB, ATH captures the spirit of Moore as Bond the romance man.
    5. For Your Eyes Only: I used to rank this one very low, but his a big, brooding opening that really sets up the movie well. Sheena Easton is still an annoyance, but I can live with it.
    6. AVTAK: A very catchy tracky, and once again a memorable melody by Barry that reprises in throughout the film. It does sound a bit dated now though due to the production value and Duran Duran.
    6. The Man with the Golden Gun: Admittedly, by John Barry, his least favorite score, and while I like the cues througout, especially the gangster scene in the beginning, the main theme just feels half baked. The lyrics are pretty terrible, and Lulu comes across as parody.

Nobody does it Better; Hands down, the best song of the Moore era
    A View to a Kill
    LALD
All Time High I like this soft melody. It is not that bad
    MR
FYEO I always felt this song (and the singer) were overrated, it's okay but nothing to write home about.
TMWTGG We see a real drop off here. One of the worst songs of all the Bond films. Only the weak garbage trashy tunes of the Brosnan age were worst.

I must say, I do like all of them. My favourites change places now and then, but I always rank the top three way above the rest. There were some great scores in Moore's era too. For instance, I was listening to the FYEO-soundtrack the other day. In a strange way, Conti's soundtrack appeals to me.

For a person with a distinguished music taste and a reknowned disco hater, I must say this is actually pretty good.

Disco is the best, you don't know what you're talking about.
