Yes, I really need to get this, bank balance permitting. That may be the problem as money's too tight to mention.

See more on both editions in this great interview with the author here:

Very nice. You know it's worth every penny, but it's just so much to spend at once.

Yes, for the ordinary prole such as myself, it's a hefty price tag, but I'm just about mad enough to splash out and buy it!

I wouldn't blame you! It'd be nice to know someone who has it who can share some details and whatnot.

I think I'd have tio go the whole hog and buy the deluxe edition though - I see it is now at the ordinary edition price, which suggests it was not as great a seller as Queen Anne Press may have imagined!

Plus, when will we get an affordable version of Talk of the Devil (2008). It needs to be accessible to all literary Bond fans, surely.

Talk of the Devil won't be out for a good few years yet, I'd say. One day, though.

The interviewee says as much in the interview. Sadly I think you both are correct on that one.

@Dragonpol, absolutely. I think if I planned on getting it, I'd go all out and get the deluxe edition, as well.

Yes, might as well push the boat out! It's what Old Ian would have wanted!

@Dragonpol, he would be more than offended if you didn't! Having said that, I may have to set aside some money and get myself a copy.

Yes, we'll have to save for it, I think!

I have a fair amount in my bank account right now, and I start my new job next week. I may have to set aside $50 or so here and there and get it by the end of the summer. We'll see if I'm competent enough to do that.

Time will tell! I look forward to it. Do let us know if you get around to getting it sooner than I expect, and if so, your thoughts.

Will do. I've got some saving coming up! By the way, what's your new job? - good luck anyway!

@Dragonpol, as do I! I'll be working at a country club with my girlfriend working as a dish washer. Not a high end job by any means, but I'll get a good bit more money than minimum wage and will surely be able to afford a lot more things. Thanks!

God, I could do with one of those. Well done!

@Dragonpol, thank you! I'll be working it through August - which should give me more than enough to afford this, probably - and then I'm toying with the idea of working with a friend at a local hospital. We will see! I was just so burned out with college and all of the drama I had to deal with there, working two jobs and taking classes at the same time took its toll.

I know where you're coming from - I've been there myself - twice!

@Dragonpol, it's no fun, but it most certainly placed money in the pocket and helped lower college loans!

I would love to speak to someone who has read this, as it is obviously something I would love to own. Sad to hear it is rather rare and when available, quite pricey.

Indeed. I'm sure it's worth the price, but it's so hefty. Still going to try and save up for it, though.

I'm very tempted to buy this. Wow, what a thing to add to my Fleming collection.

I'm so pleased someone in the know finally has this book!

Rather than ask questions, I'd like if you could mention anything of interest as you read, as I'm sure the entire book is a minefield of information @Mrcoggins.

Indeed. Are there any new revelations contained within? This book is on my most wanted list at the moment.
