I wouldn't know where to begin if a Bond musical was to be made. Maybe Bond could sing Goldfinger...

This is quite an interesting notion. Such songs as "if I were a rich man, money-penny" or that Roger Moore swansong homage "A View To A (Viagra) Pill". Maybe they issue programs after the pre title sequence to an overture of themes??... A bond girl kick line half way through would be good...maybe can can style, 8 girls in row...octopussy! :-)

Hey, Pierce Brosnan was in Mama Mia! He could sing!

    On second thought... :O

Who's strangling the cat ey Pierce ;)

Common. It isn't that bad lol.

I do like Meryl's reactions when Brosnan starts singing tho.

IDEA: Brosnan could sing Goldfinger. It was the first Bond film he saw so it would be fitting. Any thoughts??

Funnily enough, that was exactly my reaction when Pierce started singing. ;)

Oh, and Roger Moore could rap a bit:

Well those video's were certainly an education! :D All we need now is some singing from George and Tim and we will have a full set!

    My thoughts?

PB: OMG but good on him for giving it a go outside his comfort zone!

DC: Didn't really sound like him but a nice simple tune all the same.

    SC: A jolly little melody.

RM: Did make me chuckle and smile especially as i love the Muppets!

As awful as it is? I enjoyed it for pure comedy value!

Wow, I can't stop laghing after watching Timothy Dalton with Mae West. What was that??? How ridiculous was that! It almost distracted me from the fact that he actually doesn't sing half bad!

So, Brosnan was the only one in a (at least major) musical, but he's the worst singer!
I was surprised with Craig, I had read somewhere that he had a good singing voice but had never heard him. Quite good!

I second that, I want to hear Lazenby sing! But I don't know if somewhere in his wide career =)) he managed to find the time to show his vocal talents. Just jocking. By the way, off-topic, but is it him on the Etihad airways commercial? I was watching tv when I saw it and now I don't know. You can watch it here (around 00:12)

It wasn't even Tim singing though - his voice was dubbed.

Rog had better moves with those puppets than in his entire Bond era!

Perhaps Lazenby could do a tap dance number to Connery singing "This Never Happened to the Other Fellow".

I didn't bother watching PB again. I sat through Mamma Mia before. Unless it's on stage, and whomever I'm with pays for my ticket, I'm not doing it again.

I'm still laughing at Timothy and Mae West singing to the Captain & Tenille. I looked this up, the film was called Sextette, Mae West's last film. Mae, 85 at the time, was married to her 6th husband, Timothy, 32 at the time. And we get on Roger for his age differences.

Roger would be better at spoken word. Daniel was surprisingly good.

  • I like Dalton as Bond but that clip was cringeworthy, I only managed no more than a minute of it. Was West really 85 years of age at the time, by god she looks impressive for it, or maybe the picture was just a bit fuzzy

I can't entertain the thought or idea of any Bond's singing, I know we shouldn't tie down each actor to the 007 role as they have done other respective work outside the series but when I saw Dalton in that, I just couldn't get past the fact I remember him best as James Bond and thought 'this really isn't suitable Tim'

I like the idea of a James Bond musical. Back in 2005 I thought to myself, "It would be really cool to see a James Bond musical" Since Toby Stephens is currently playing James Bond, he could star as 007 on stage.
