With a career that spans more than 50 years, it is safe to say that Dame Judi Dench is a trusted and talented actor.
Despite her success the stalwart of British film can not bare to watch herself on screen immediately after a filming role.
She said: 'It's better for me as time goes by. I watch [my performance] after I've forgotten all about it, because otherwise I get fixated and my judgment goes too.'
One character that she may have to get used to watching, however, is 007's spy boss M.
The 77-year-old was spotted yesterday back on the set of the new James Bond movie Skyfall and the actress looked happy to be back.
Filming at Tower Hill, London, she said: 'There are some brilliant sets and it's being directed by Sam Mendes, who I worked with, oh, when he was a little baby boy really.
'It was about the second or third thing he did. He directed me in The Cherry Orchard on stage, so now he's doing this.'
The actor was wrapped up warm in a big black coat as she stood around between filming shots of the action movie.
Daniel Craig, who plays Bond, was not on set today but the pair can be seen together in the new movie which is due later this year.
It will be Dench's seventh outing as M. She starred alongside the charming Pierce Brosnan in four previous Bond movies.
Director Mendes posted a short note saying: 'The roots of my doing this Bond movie start way before anybody approached me because, like everyone else, I have my own personal relationship with Bond which began when I was I suppose about 9 or 10 years old. I've always been a fan of the movies.'
Skyfall has already done its production in several spots in England, including Canary Wharf, Charing Cross, Bognor Regis and Pinewood Studios.
In this 23rd Bond movie, his loyalty to M is tested as M's past comes back to haunt her. When MI6 comes under attack, Bond must track down and destroy the threat no matter how personal the cost is.

A little something, noteworthy from the Mail at last, maybe?

I've heard quite a few actors talk about not seeing their own films. Personally, if I was an actor, I would only watch my films to see how I could improve upon my performance.
