She's a groovy girl this Hathaway. I've read on the internet that the producers have become a bit cagey when asked about "Catwoman". They have been referring to her as Selina Kyle but not CW. Maybe she will not be referred to as CW at all in the film.

I wonder why they haven't painted the batmobile/tumbler black? Maybe the villain has got a hold of one.

Don't know if I like the look of the Batwing. It's hardly elegant and sleek looking. Certainly looks like it can do the job though.

@Bounine If you take a look at one of those small pics in that link of yours, you´ll notice there a two camo tumblers in front of the batwing in one foto. So there´s probably something going on with them tumblers.

As for the look of the batwing, I love it so far. I has this same weid mixture of sports bolide and military fortress that the tumbler had when I first saw it. Plus the batwing looks like a cyber-insect. Those metal sheets behind the cockpit remind me of the wing plates of a giant beetle about to open up. That and the perspective with the batwing only two meters from the ground and directly beihnd the tumbler give it a threatening look, which is nice.
I´m not sure it would look better if something like rotor blades would be added digitally.

@boldfinger - photos and videos from shooting in Pittsburgh show three Tumblers, a HEMTT, the Batpod and the flying vehicle all involved in the chase.

And rotors will apparently be added in post-production because it's not the Batwing, but the Batcopter (it probably has a better name in the film). Videos of it during filming clearly show it moving like a helicopter.

In that top video the batwing or whatever it will be called looks alright. Looks nicer from the side.
  • She looks foxy but that's not right, is it? Still she looks ripe for a follow on movie ho hum.

No actually. I am a huge fan of Nolan and his work with Batman, but after seeing TDK and loving the realism in it, TDKR falters for me. Bane, Catwoman, a destroyed Gotham? Really? I can't see Nolan going down that road but he is, and it saddens me.

Don't be sad, we know that Gordon is in some sought of coma. So like Dallas and Pam's dream, he's just dreaming it in his unconscious state. All the destruction, all the new characters figment of his mind.

When he wakes up, we'll see that Gotham is well, Batman is retired, Hathaway is his nurse and Bane is the hospital cleaner.

There's an interesting idea - Gordon is comatose, and keeps having this recurring dream where he convinces Batman to return to Gotham because he feels guilty for his failures, which he thinks started when he agreed to hold Batman accountable for Dent's crimes. So he's a slave to his guilty conscience, trapped in a kind of purgatory.

Of course, that would be a subplot to the main film.

I'm counting thirty-one police cars. That's only a rough number, though.

Kind of reminds me of the chase scene in BLUES BROTHERS 2000, where ninety-odd police cars had a pile-up.

So Bane, as in Knightfall, breaks batman's back. A neat way of leading to a new Batman and new films. So they did sell out to the studios whilst paying homage to the comics. I wonder who the new Batman will be?
Considering that he was seen walking, it would imply that his back is not broken.

And I doubt it's intended as a setup for a new Batman.

true he is seen walking but I was talking about the end of the movie...and the studios do want to continue Batman...this idea seems to work. Anyway we can go on, ultimately we have to wait for a year to see.

    But I'm right so there

The entire point of breaking Batman's back in the first place was to have him rise up from it.

Also this film marks the end of Nolan's series. So nothing in the film will link to the next one, the new reboot, whenever that may be.

And now for a rubbish rumor

    It's ROBIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Joseph Gorden-Levitt's beat cop could be robin if rumors are true.

Levitt's characters name is John Blake, while it isn't Dick Grayson or Tim Drake it is a very suspicious sounding name...

    More info below:

    http://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2011/09/dark-knight-rises-rumors-continue-as-gordon-levitt.html
    The problems I see are...

    1. Bale said he would walk if Robin where in the trilogy but he is still here.

    2. Nolen has said 10000000 times there would be no robin!!!

    3. The nail in the coffin is that Levitts to OLD!!! His 30!!! you may think I'm over reacting. But Dick Grayson was 9 when he became robin in the comics... While this will be unfesable in live action. The role would probably been passed to a teenage actor, not one nearly 4 times older then the role is described.
