How about the black girl eating her 'native' allergic food- bananas!! That's wrong on so many levels. [-(
The way they did that in the film made it look slightly sexual
Oh I prefer them in the novel, in fact I find the novel far superior. Thatsaid, I still find them essential to the story and they don't bother me in the movie.
I get that some things are in the books, but I think discretion used with what is put in the films is sometimes a very good thing.
Do I want Kerim's description in FRWL about how he sexually and every way abused that nameless woman (from the novel) in the film? No I do not. (I think she was nameless ... )
Angels of Death could simply have been less stupid somehow, even with keeping the hypnosis plot.
I took it as sexual.
Somehow I don't think Kerim's story would have made it past the censors - even when rules relaxed a bit in the 60s.
I love the Angels of Death...for once the "eye candy" is an integral plot point.
And there is something very funny about Bond playing gay while more or less covertly seducing three women in Piz Gloria.
;))
And if you'd want to unleash biological weapons, you might as well use as a mule someone who does not look suspicious, and actually is oblivious to the threat she carries. Angels of death indeed.
Yes, it's a decent enough plot. It could have been made a little more sinister I think, but overall not bad. The angels of death are a bit comedy, especially the girl from Morecombe Bay. But minor quibbles really. Great Bond movie. One of my top 5.
It doesn't bother me that much. Quite like it infact. I find Laz is pretty effortlessly cool right from the get go.
I thought this was a great way of handling it. Everyone knew by then that Sean was gone... They were poking fun at themselves here which is a reasonable way to break in the new Bond.
This whole pretitles bit is one of my favourites IMO and I think Lazenby had the best introduction as Bond after Connery in Dr. No. I personally love it all, from the time in the Aston lighting the cigarette, to seeing Tracy, to driving down to the beach to the fights to the 4th wall comment, all played to one of Barry's most ingenious scores.
Its is a great introduction I need to give you that.
Moore really did'nt have one he was in his Bathrobe when M appears at the door in LALD.
Dalton - Parachutte drop on Gibraltar I believe - Never a fan of his introduction
Brosnan - The dive off the Dam was decent, but was ruined due to a poor bit of post production cutting as the scene of how he gets the gate open is cut.
Craig- in Casino his opening shot sitting in the dark is up there as well.
Top 3 for introduction as Bond, I think I would go
DR No
Casino Royale

The story of the casting of Lazenby is an amazing one. He never could have pulled off those lies today, in the age of Google.
Dalton had probably the best intro; what a great first look, and the whole PTS rocks.
