For some reason I've had a line of dialogue going through my head today, and I thought of this thread straight away.
It's from TWINE when 'R' is showing Bond the BMW Z8.
He says, '...all the usual refinements and six beverage cup holders.' Or words to that effect.
As it's a two seater sports car, I was wondering why it would need six cup holders? Seems like a cheap gag or bad dialogue to me.

Yeah that was just a dumb joke. It's funny how John Cleese seemingly played two completely different characters in his two movies!
He was cheap humor as R, but serious (and.... well, GOOD) as Q

Maybe the Z8 is like Inspector Gadgets car, in that it can morph. At the touch of a button, the Z8 morphs into a Ford Galaxy. Hence the need for the 6 beverage cup holders. Q just forgot to tell Bond about that function.

I have to believe that was sarcasm...

I would believe so too, seeing as Brosnan's Bond smoked too. It was just Cigars rather than Cigarettes.

And Bond himself knows his habits are bad, yet proceeds to drink and smoke willingly.

Exactly, such is the life of a secret agent.

Absolutely. You never know if this day is your last, so why not have a pack and a pint or two to let off?

@DaltonCraig007, I'm not exactly a fan of JW Pepper, but I find myself laughing every single at the scene in TMWTGG where he approaches the policeman and flashes his badge, only to have the cuffs slapped on him!

"You boys never seen an aeroplane before?"

Apart from he ones I have mentioned earlier, I dislike one of Stacy's lines in AVTAK:

"I'd sell everything and live in a tent before I give up".

I have to say, as bad as some of the lines were, a better actress could of made them passable. Roberts butchered almost everything. She couldn't even say "James!" without making me want to scream abuse at the screen.

Out of all the Bond girls, whom many I adore and would risk my life for, I absolutely want to slap Stacey silly, and the same for Jinx. Every scene with her is horrid, and when she repeatedly screams "JAMES JAMES JAMES JAMES JAMES JAMES!" I change the channel. One of the worst Bond girls that there will ever come to be, and she isn't even a looker.

Definitely. I agree. Moore had some great women but this one was a definite miss.

Not a bad Choice, at all. I like her too, although my favourite's Izabella Scorupco.

And i hope i miss that "JAMES JAMES JAMES JAMES JAMES JAMES!" scene when i see that Stacey scene. What the hell, it's a Bond, not a porn movie. What were the directors thinking?

I like Tanya Roberts, her role was comical and enjoyable. All the screams seem to destroy her voice though. She sound like a screeching animal after a while.

Yes, thanks @007RogerMoore. @X3MSonicX, Vesper is my favorite, played by the angel that is Eva Green, and a truly sultry blast from the 40s and 50s, with the wonderful talent and classic appeal to match her mesmerizing looks and sexy voice. There will never be another Bond actress/girl to match what Eva has, and what she brought to the role of Vesper.

    And Izabella/Natalya is my #2!
