Wenger is reported as saying he is the right man for the job, and he won’t be quitting in the summer.

Hopefully it wont be up to him by then, they are already undermining him with the staff they have brought in.

That Mctominay. Won't score me any points but 4.2m for a top 4 midfielder you can't complain.

The main thing is Utd have conceded as the bloke above me has De Gea.

Is Mctominay dangerous in front of goal? The guy just behind me has double United defense, as well as Lingard. Scenes when Palace scored, haha! Living dangerously in FPL without United defensive cover, though…

I am in Manchester for a week. Any ideas of how easy it would be to get tickets at Etihad for City - Basel and what it might cost?

Aren't CL/EL tickets cheaper? Might be mistaken.
Wear something recognizable so we can see you on TV, haha! :-bd

I will bring a large banner:

"I hate Manchester City! Get dirty oil money out of football!" ;)

    That will be popular, haha!

    _________
Matic makes it 2-3 in added time. Great strike!

Corker from Matic though for large parts of the game United were dreadful, can't start like that against Liverpool at weekend.

What's your predictions for that game?

    0-8

That would be some result, haha!

I think it maybe a draw

A likely result, possibly. Is Jones injured?

I think so though Baily has been on the bench last few days, we will need him for the run in.

I see. Shouldn't be surprised, though. Jones has had a few injuries over the years. Bailly back must be a blessing for Mourinho.

I can still see him staying on for that second year of his contract, just because this is Arsenal.

Would think so. Liverpool face United on Saturday, I think.

Real going through does not suprise me, PSG have no real competition week in week out, over hype and ridiculous transfer fees don't help you win games at the highest level.

Dick Emery you mean? He's already in charge.

Jesus. I remember when the likes of Les and Stan couldn't get near the departure lounge let alone on the plane.

Liverpool-Porto was a snorefest. With Liverpool already having a five goal lead, that wasn't at all surprising. Still, would figure them scoring at least one at home.

    ________
Murray for the World Cup? I'd watch that, haha! He does score goals, the Brighton man. What would the possible strikers be, then? Kane, Vardy and Murray?

There's a rumour PSG are looking to replace Unai Emery wiht Arsène Wenger. He's been linked with PSG before though, so it's probably just an old rumour making it's rounds in the media again.

How did Emery's Sevilla team play?

Did Norwich City create many chances, at least? Read on Twitter that Tettey (and Farke) was frustrated by the draw.

Spurs by far the better side over 180 mins but you simply can't give a team that good a 2 goal lead and expect to get away with it.

Just going to enjoy this so much. Can Allegri stay behind in London?

    Nothing to cheer here.

Spurs now have a clear run at the top 4 and I'd rather have risked drawing them than Juve in the next round.

Although knocked out in the last 16 and only top 4 to play for - is Pocc the new Wenger?

Subs Lichtsteiner and Asamoah changed the game completely. Tactically Allegri outpowered Pochettino.

Hah! Interview with Allegri on Viasat. Have an interpreter there, but turns out Allegri's English is better than the interpreter!

Just came back from the Etihad. I am a bit shocked! I have never witnessed a more silent home crowd! I know the game was technically a formality for City, but still. You would at least expect it to feel like City were playing at home! The more than thousand Basel fans sang all game, credit to them. But apart from them you would think you were at a clasical music concert - except that there the audience at least gives some proper applause and look like they have a good time!

Appaling! I watched the game with some colleagues that have never been to a football game before. I felt a bit embarassed having to explain to them that it is actually not common that the away fans make all the noise... And to think English football is supposedly famed for their crowd atmosphere...

Didn't have access to the game on TV, but if this is the case, I'm surprised too! Good game for Elyounoussi, it seems! Maybe there will be some interest from English clubs after this performance?

Who knows? He was definitely man of the match today. Not only the goal and the assist were good, but he was a constant threat down the left flank and provided some impressive defensive contribution as well. As a Norwegian it was fun to watch!

No, no. The seats were fantastic actually and only cost 22 £! I have no idea how that was possible! We were only there for the experience anyway, and had a great time.

I thought CL was what City have been working towards for a decade? I have heard people say the atmosphere was bad at the Etihad but always thought it was at worst exaggerated or a myth (as it is regarding the Camp Nou were the atmosphere is great despite what some say...). Now I know how bad it actually is. Doesn't exactly alter my already low opinion of City...

£22 for a CL knockout match!? That's pathetic frankly given most people would surely have bought their tickets before the first leg rendered it pointless.

You can't even get into most Championship games for that. Was it even full?

Really hope they go out in the next round. Let's have an SF lineup of true European royalty - Real, Bayern, Liverpool and one of Juve, Barca or Utd (preferably Utd as they would be an easier draw than the other two).
