I just need Arsenal to get transfer deals done swiftly. For starters, We should try and sign Partey next month.

He's so heavily linked these days, that I'd be very disappointed if it doesn't happen. But the price tag Atletico are likely to set on him might make it difficult…

Yeah, me too. I would also feel bad if the deal doesn't happen. Yeah, the price tag is another thing...but that's one position Arsenal needs to cover, and Partey fits it like a Glove. I remember when Wenger was in charge we were heavily linked with Victor Wanyama, the same type of player....I hope Arsenal covers that position this time with Partey.

Guendouzi is also linked the other way, so that might keep the price down a bit, if they reach an agreement.

I'm curious about the players that were once linked with Arsenal under the Wenger era. So many great players were apparently close to a move to the club…

Yeah, that should lower the price.

Indeed, under Wenger the list of Arsenal-linked players was endless....the players usually end up in teams of direct rivals.

I kinda hope Wenger will touch upon the failed transfers in his book, but I imagine it won't be a thing he'd want to write about – unless there's an interesting anecdote behind it.

Yeah, it could contain an engaging anecdote.

Arsenal finish 8th. One spot above where I expected them to finish before the season. that's something at least.

Yeah, am delighted the premier league is over. I must confess because of the ongoing pandemic, I never thought we would experience the conclusion of the premier league this year.

Even if Arsenal are not in it, the next football conclusion to enjoy is the Champions League....lots of stellar games in it.

Yes, there's still a lot of football to enjoy before it all starts up again!

Exactly. Football appears to be a nice form of escapism in this time of uncertainty.

Chelsea finish top four, with an FA cup final to play as well.

Frank Lampard has had a very good first season in charge at Chelsea, and they look very strong already for next season!

Yeah, I like Lampard....his modest demeanour could really take him far.

The fa cup final should be an entertaining game as both teams like to attack.
Hard to pick who wins it.

My gut feeling is that Chelsea will win, unfortunately. I can see Arsenal being…well, Arsenal.

You've got auba, who scored 2 great goals in the semi to win it for you.

That's my worry too. I think by saying Arsenal being Arsenal, you mean Arsenal becoming their own enemy...like making mistakes, conceding a penalty or having a player sent-off.

Yes, but it's not the striker spot(s) that worries me when it comes to this Arsenal team.

Very much so. Which Arsenal will turn up today? The one that can actually compete, the one that would struggle against a relegation team – or an Arsenal that just messes up?

That's it. @Torgeirtrap. It's like when Arsenal are in the mood, they're in the mood. If they aren't in the mood, hmmmmm.......

Yeah, @007InAction. I think even the whole world knows that going forward has never been Arsenal's problem. It's the OBVIOUS we have been crying for, for over a decade and more.

Exactly. And given what's at stake, they should be. But so will Chelsea; it will be a great way to end the season for them, and for Lampard it will be a statement.

Yeah, true. Both teams have a reason to go for it. But if am being honest, am not really that hungry to win the FA cup, compared to when our trophy drought was lengthy back then. Am so worried about how Arsenal fare in the transfer market, ahead of next season. Even if Arsenal lose today, Arteta has shown so much promise that would only be perfected if the club supports him financially.

I'm ready for a good game. Both teams have plenty to play for, though as a Blues man I'll be backing Chelsea in for the win today.

It looks like the FA Cup might be a factor in how Arsenal will be able to compete in the transfer market, so winning it is no doubt very important. The club will obviously prepare for either outcome, but the transfer window will be less exciting without a cup title, I think…

Yeah, I guess you could say that. A win further sends a message to players around the world, who are yet to sign for Arsenal....telling them Arsenal's ship is steering towards the best shores. I guess this should be the main reason to win the FA Cup.

Potentially. If he don't sign a new contract (he's likely waiting to see if there will be European football for the team next season or not), they are left with no option but to sell him, I think. They can't afford to replace him if he runs down his contract.

It's as much about the project as the silverware in this case, IMO. It also sends a message to the players that are already there, as to where the club's at.

Yep, Arsenal seem to be playing better, only after conceding....then again, Chelsea never needed to play well to win matches.

1-1 now, but Chelsea still the better team.
