Special mention to St.Johnstone. Winners of the Scottish Cup for the first time in their 130 year history. 130 years. Makes Qatari rent boys PSG look small fry.

Congrats to Arsenal on their FA Cup win! And a massive congratulations to Atletico Madrid on their HUGE achievement! I hope they take the Champions League trophy too assuming Diego Costa makes the game?

Neil Adams has been appointed Norwich manager on a full time basis.

@RogueAgent. I'm guessing with all the other options still available to Norwich, you're probably a bit underwhelmed by that?

I really can't believe they have made the same mistake again?!!!
:O No disrespect to the man, I am sure he is genuinely a top guy and clearly he is passionate about the club. However? That has not done much good so far to be fair. He will not attract the kind of players we need right now and I now believe their will most likely be a mass exodus from the club. Underwhelmed is putting it very politely my friend.

Could be the mistake Wolves made in appointing Terry Connor. Good coach, well respected but not a manager. Wouldn't take much for Norwich to get relegated again next season.

Malky McKay, Tim Sherwood, Neil Lennon all currently available. Baffling decision.

Exactly right! It's the Bryan Gunn decision and situation all over again Willy! I guess I will not be looking forward to the new season as much as I thought I would? X_X

Maybe you'll get stuffed 7-1 on the opening day of the season and then you can poach that club's manager. ;-) :-bd

Right,i think i need to phone the police and report a crime :

The offender : Queens Park Rangers
    The victim : Derby County
    Location : Championship play-off final,Wembley Stadium.

QPR down to 10 men, have had NO shots on goal,Derby ALL OVER them and......the clock is showing 89mins 34 secs and Derby cock it up in their area and QPR score through Bobby Zamora.

QPR win 1-0 and are promoted to the Premier League.

    A travesty....absolute travesty.....

Plus we have to put up with Redknapp and that smug twat Joey Barton again next season. If there's any justice, they'll get humiliated and dumped back down to the Championship where they belong next year.

I just hope Derby bounce back from this next season as they have been really entertaining and scored some great goals this season.

Dont get me wrong,i am a London boy, born and bred, but no,that was awful for them.

    Fun side story:

After Real Madrid had beaten Elche thanks to a horrenduos penalty in the dying minutes of a game last autumn, the Spanish police had to release an official statement clearifying that referee decisions did not not qualify as a violation of national law. It turned out that hundreds of people had been phoning the police department and reported the "burglary" taking place at the Martínez Valero stadium. :))

I've got a dilemma with the Champions League final...i prefer Atletico over Real but i hate Simeone after what he did to Beckham in 1994 and his disgraceful behaviour after the match.
  • edited May 2014 Posts: 7,507
Whatever Simeone did (and I think you are referring to an incident in 1998 anyway?) it can't be worse than what certain Real Madrid players are doing in this day and age...

I don't mind who wins tonight but I'd be pleased for Bale if Real does win.

There is no justice in the Premier League, otherwise "Buy history" Chelsea would have been exposed as cheaters and punished many years ago, it's all run by money, I find it a shame that football has come to this. It seems that money has sealed the Champions League spots in the Premier league for at least the next 15 years, which takes any surprise out of the Premier League, and is why I no longer watch football, terribly run sport, they really should take a leaf out of the NFL's book, where any team can win the league, in any given year, but football will remain in this dark place for many years to come.

I watched the documentary on YouTube a few months back. Fascinating to watch again after all these years.

Kind of feel a bit sorry for him now. He was so out of his depth and fate really did shit on him.

His tactics were sometimes iffy, but the players let him down big time..i noticed that even at the time.

In other words same old story....

As Cartman may have once said, 'QPR can such my balls'. Joke. I hope they plummet straight back down. Very gutted not to have a genuinely worthy English club back in the top flight.

I hope we get to see some more of Atletico's famed cynisism in the second half. Real Madrid are only really dangerous on the brake, and they got too much space in the first half. Every resource, even buses, are allowed when your opponent represent all that's evil in the world!
