If anything is just on this earth, it had better.
$35M for Skyfall
$42M for Twilight
2. Skyfall (Eon/MGM/Sony) Week 2 [Runs 3,526] PG13
Wednesday $7.4M, Thursday $7.7M, Friday $14.7M (+92%)
3-Day Weekend $34.5M, 5-Day Holiday $49.6M, Cume $220.2M
I should think Bond will make more than Twilight next weekend and close the gap soon after.
Agreed. I've seen both - guess which one I'd very much like to wipe from my memory.
8-|
Also, I took the girlfriend to watch SF. She took me to watch Twilight. Proves men still know better. [-(
:)>-
Skyfall should be around 250m North America by end of next weekend, so 300m won't be hard to reach. Skyfall should also play much better than Casino or Quantum over the Christmas period.

By the way Samuel001? Can you add 'Casino Royale' (the 1967 spoof) and 'Never Say Never Again' (the unofficial one) to the list as well? I am curious...
Don't know why people give these films the time of day.
Because, in case of 'Never Say Never Again', it had...:
A) An excellent Bond villain. In a way Klaus Maria Brandauer's Largo reminded me of the psychotic portrayals of Max Zorin and Raoul Silva...
B) An excellent henchwoman. People tend to forget that Barbara Carrera got nominated for a Golden Globe for her excellent portrayal of Fatima Blush.
C) A better Sean Connery as James Bond than Connery in 'Diamonds Are Forever'/
D) A very nice Shrublands scene. In a way, it reminded me of Craig's Shrublands-treatment in 'Skyfall'
And to conclude, official or unofficial, it IS a Bond film.
Casino Royale '67 has some charm to it. Burt Bacharach's score, Dusty Springfield, Peter Sellers and Orson Wells. Shame it's all lost amongst the mess of the rest of the film.
Skyfall has been a phenomenal success, and a deserved one too. Looks like my estimate will be severly beaten.
Having said that, 'Never Say Never Again' would have an inflation corrected (to 2012 prices) worldwide gross of $371,669,846.20, overtaking 'A View To A Kill's 22nd place on Samuel001's list.
'Casino Royale 1967' would have an inflation corrected (to 2012 prices) worldwide gross of $288,799,967.07, being 25th and last on Samuel001's list.
Moreover, I prefer to see Bond incarnations from a cinematic perspective and not in a black and white EON-or-not-EON kind of way. 'Never Say Never Again' is a movie. It it deserves to be judged as a movie....and also as a Bond incarnation.
Having said that, Sean Connery is younger than Roger Moore. And comparing Sean with Roger back in 1983 is indeed very interesting. The Shrublands fighting scene with Count Lippe? Simply wunderful! I haven't seen such a scene in 'Octopussy' really. Back in 1983, Sean was certainly more fit than Roger....
I think the reason I dislike it so much is that it is simply not a Bond movie. Stick Michael Douglas in it and you still just have a bland generic action film. Next to AVTAK it looks dreadful. Cubby knew how to make a Bond film, McClory and Kershner didn't.
