@Brady- that would seem like the fan friendly solution. Are you going to reprise it?

If I get permission from the higher ups and everyone here in the community is in agreement, I am sure I could manage.

That would be great. And you are right here- the last thing the negative people here need or deserve is an award of recognition. We should only be rewarding/recognizing the people who at least try to contribute positive content.

I'd like to nominate @TheWizardofIce, because I've seen a couple of his comments and they're certainly controversial, albeit funny.

He will no doubt recognize your good taste in making such a statement ;)

  • I'd love to see MI6Community awards return, but threads like this will only inspire cattiness and infighting.

Look, this isn't a perfect place. If we flagged someone every time they had a controversial opinion, the mods would be overwhelmed. We have to help police each other to a certain degree and not allow the instigator types to have free reign. What the right thing to do in these initial circumstances is to try and engage in honest debate. Debate isn't in fighting.

And I'm not a perfect person. Far from it. But I'm also not the type to turn the other cheek at the slightest provocation. Everyone here, whether they like me or not, and I've never been the type who worries about those things anyway, knows I have balls and like to be challenged to a debate. I can be wrong, but at least I can admit it when someone has made a better point. I've been a fan for 45 years this year and I love it when someone presents a point of view that I never thought of before. One of the beautiful things about many of the Bond films is that they can be ambiguous and invite differing points of view.

There does come a time though, when it's clear someone just wants to instigate, annoy, etc and I get exasperated trying to reason with them. When that happens, then I just won't speak to them and then the mods deal with the rest. It takes all kinds of people to make a Forum as busy as this one. It would be boring if we always saw eye to eye. Just like the DCINB site :))
  • I'd like another set of awards. It was fun last time and I want to see if I can keep my title of biggest Dalton fan :)

I definitely want another round of these awards! They were truly fun.
Let's do it. :) Er ... that means I guess if you can fit it into your time frame, get approval, etc., please yes, @0BradyM0Bondfanatic7, please do it - many of us would love to participate again.

And when should we have this?

@M_Balje would get my vote as he's genuine with his views and does not set out to provoke. This thread should just be a bit of fun by the way and not about flaming other members. I for one love The Balje and am very glad he's here.

My good friend @Perdogg also shakes things up a bit (in a good way) and I'm all for that too. That's why I admire him so.

Thank you, @Perdogg. I gladly defend your right to your opinion on all things Bond as it sometimes tallies with my own alternative view on Bondian things and you too are a great friend to me.
