The song is called "Backfire" by Tom Newman.
I know the track from the score but I'm talking about.
The song that plays briefly when Bond pushes the Backfire button on the DB10.

Just watched OHMSS and i have to questions.

    1. How does bond get the keys to Gumbolds office?

    2. What model is the Rolls Royce outside M's house?

    Anyone?

I don't think the first one can be answered other than presuming that he picked the lock or had some kind of skeleton key.

If you mean that Rolls :

According to the IMCDB, it's a 1954 Rolls Royce Phantom IV.

Yes i meant that one. Is it the same as in SPECTRE then?

Does the new CR Blu-Ray just released a bit ago feature the cut parts of the North American Blu-Rays? The Blu-Rays I have do not feature the fight in the stairwell when Bond smashes Obanno's head into the glass. If you're confused about what I mean see this page

What a bunch of crap! What's with these edits? It's like releasing TV cuts of movies. How shameful...

I know, right?! I'm asking for the UK version for Christmas even though I already have two Blu-Rays! :))

I'm glad I didn't buy them. I would have been so ticked off.

M claims that the French have an expression "It is the fate of glass to break". Does anyone know what the original French phrase is?

    @Murdock,

Do you have the most recent Blu-Ray issue? Maybe it's been put back in, but I don't know.

Hang on a sec. Am I misremembering something. Are the cut scenes in the BOND 50 Blu-Ray set?

So wait, where can I find these CR cut scenes in the US versions? Does the steelbook contain them? Most of those shots from the stairwell fight scene are not in my US Deluxe/Collector's Edition blu-ray, and that's the only version I've ever owned of it. If they're in the new steelbook, even more of a reason for me to double dip and buy it!

The original Casino Royale DVD release is uncut and the version from the original Bond 50 DVD set. Not sure about the blu-rays though...

Uh-oh. Now I've started something. Can we get someone over here with a reliable memory who knows for sure in which releases they are? =))

"Tant va la cruche à l'eau qu'à la fin elle se casse". Litterally : "The jug goes to water so many times it ends up broken". Which means that you can face a danger so many times before it gets you.

So there we have it. I've just checked which version comes with Bond 50, and its the cut version. Time to buy the UK 15 version I guess.

    Shaken and Stirred documentary.

Anyone know if this is available anywhere? Anywhere online? It was on UK TV in December 1997 ostensibly to promote the then new James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies. It was narrated by Samantha Bond and featured people such as Michael Winner, Dr Raj Persaud, Barry Norman's son, Paul Ross (Jonathan's brother) - who said he liked George Lazenby, in fact on the doc he ends up saying all the Bond actors are his favourite, David Arnold, Douglas James (A Pierce Brosnan lookalike), Dave Worrall etc.

@tigers99, Unfortunately there's a good chance that if it aired in 1997 it won't be on the Internet. You couldn't just put something from television online. So unless someone taped it back in the day and put a VHS rip of it online, you won't find it anymore. So I guess you have to google for it, check out the first couple of pages, which I'm sure you've done, and if you haven't found it, you may have to accept the fact it's just not there. :-)

I'm wondering the same thing still. There must be someone with the CR steelbook/re-release who can confirm this.

Why was the "From" deleted from the title AVTAK?
  • I think the title would have worked better as FAVTAK - at the end as they were hovering over Silicon Valley, Zorin could have said "Only seconds more. From a view...to a kill!". It wouldn't have been as cheesy as the way they did shoehorn it in.
