The Girls' Room

Going by the conversation, I just had with 4EverBonded, who is female, I thought, there might be more of us after all. Apart from Sandy, who else is female? In this mens world, it might be nice to have a space on our own :)>-

Cool! Great idea. I was about to guess someone else was female, but I'd really better not in case I'm so very wrong!

I would imagine, there are not more then maybe 5 of us here, but it would be nice to meet them.

Oh no! The women are conspiring against us. Someone call 911! :)]

Just joking, ladies. To be honest, we need more women among our members. The often fresh and smart views of a woman actually can teach us, boys, a thing or two. Happy to have you here and please, knock yourselves out in this thread! ;-)

Thanks DD - I suppose its because the Ladies might feel a bit outnumbered here and not taken seriously, plus you shouldn't be overly sensitiv either - but once you get over that, its actually fine.. :)

I hope, we get a small, but still strong bunch together here. Show your colors, Ladies!!!

I just realized I haven't even told my friends I am on here. I need to share MI6 with more people! I guarantee my best friends won't be surprised that I joined a James Bond site; they know I'm a huge fan. As a teenager I turned my guy friends on to the books. For several years, my best friend and I went to every James Bond opening together. I even had a Beatles/Bond Birthday Bash in 2000 (combining two of my most favorite things and influences into one fun get together).

Female members: Please find this thread and introduce yourself - and thanks! :)

Here's a question for our MI6 ladies: Have any of you done anything really Bond influenced? (Other than driving fast while listening to the Bond theme song on a loop and throwing the abovementioned party, I guess I haven't ...)

No, I have not, as Bond was rather dead for me between Sir Roger and DC. I used to go with my dad to see those films, which was always a nice treat.

When QOS released worldwide, it released in India in Hindi. I didn't want to watch it dubbed and therefore waited for the DVDs instead. Thereafter, the reports about the movie from all the guys was that it's nothing close to CR. Meanwhile, my sister watched it somewhere and she told me it was a "fantastic" movie. That moment is when I realised that the movie is actually NOT good. :-)) :D

I did watch it, and I was kinda right. :P

Girls like only love-stories. So they'll never be unbiased with a character who lays down in bed with 2-3 hot chicks in the movie, coz they want their men and boyfriends to take inspiration from that. Plus, they're so not into cool gadgets....
So please invite girls here. I want to see their opinions about bond. Biased ones too :P :D :))

Mod edit: please avoid double posts by making use of the edit button. Thank you.

@Mike - with this sort of macho post, I am not sure, the Ladies here will feel invited..what sort of girls do you know, that you got such old fashioned opinion? I can assure you, the women these days have moved on from that.

    @MikeBravo

I don't think our beloved ladies are only interested in love stories. If that were the case, a James Bond forum might be a tough place to stick around, you see. ;-)

@Germanlady @DarthDimi I get what you are saying. Let's see. In fact NOW after what I just said, the ladies must try to prove me wrong all the way! :))

Don't think, we are so depending on your good or right opinion about us. There is no "must" ;)

BTW - I like your avi though.

Hi Germanlady, 4EverBonded! I'm female as well. I haven't posted that much, but I do check these forums every day. It's the BEST place to find new Bond news, and it's such a nice community. :)

Hmm, let's see, I made Solange's dress from Casino Royale for a TV convention a few years ago, does that count? XD

That depends...have you got pictures? (front and back...you know...to see the...dress...Ok, I´m in the wrong thread, clearly ;) )

Wow! More and more ladies joining in. I guess they just needed encouragement to post. Thanks to @GermanLady.
By the way while you all are here, can you please tell me, what's the best Bond charm that worked on you?? I want to work it on a girl I have a crush on. So what's the best Bond charm that really sent you flying in dreams?!

@moderator point noted. Thanks for reminding me of the edit button.

Thanks, as always, for your link, @Samuel001, but I'm going to let this one remain open. I think the ladies can have their private room for a quick chat. ;-)

Thanks Dimi - lets see, how this one is going to take off.

@Mike - there is no such thing as a charme, that works for everybody. I can't tell you to have the rugged charme of DC, if you are not the sort of guy or do a Brosnan. Find your own way...

@jackdagger - I just googled that name. Never heard of him. How come, you took his name for yourself?

It's actually just a combination of my name (Jackie) and a character from Final Fantasy 9 (Dagger). Someone came up with it for me years ago and I just stuck with it because I liked the way it sounded (reminds me of a pirate). :)

@Germanlady Great idea! I wonder if its just the four of us.
  • Whatever happened to AgentFae ?

She was female, and let herself be heard. I figured she just dropped out when the old forum went, but then I saw she posted a couple of times in the other female thread (the one where the man where discussing more than the females :) Which was fun)

Yeah, me too. But its not, that guys are not welcom in here.

BTW - Mike - maybe try to change your attitude towards females. Not seeing them as some sort of low budget brains might help. ;)

:-)) Yes @Samuel001, what a thread. I felt like Dr. Frankenstein seeing his creation wreak havoc on the village people.
  • Don't forget about (Retro) Kitty, I think she is still around. Very, very cool lady, have talked to her on PM, much respect.

I will always have your backs here when if and when someone ever treats you disrespectfully.

Same with LaLa (sorry forgot her full name). Always thought her, Retrokitty and AgentFae were good contributors.

And DogBond why we're at it.

The amount of people 'lost' is just amazing. Sad really. :(

A ladies thread is a great idea. Be nice if the mods can pin it.

A female viewpoint is welcome. You are going to get male views from not some very enlightened bits of the world - so I hope you have your Rosa Klebb shoes on. You might have to be tough.

But you have my whole hearted support. Be interesting to hear what Bond girls the ladies like - who they admire, who they dislike...

You can't pin any threads on the new forum. Now, that's a real shame.
