But I want to ask the other ladies here: Is anyone else sick of "photobombing" besides me? It truly might be only me. But I got sick of this trend many, many months ago.
Well for me, I think it can be really funny like when Benedict Cumberbatch photobombed U2. But if the same person does it all the time at every red carpet event they are invited to then it will probably annoy me. That would scream attention whore to me.

Anyway, I'm happy to have you here on this thread, @Tuulia. :)
Sorry you have been under the weather. I really hope you feel great again soon. Please take good care of yourself. The news tomorrow will at least cheer you (I hope!). At this point any real Bond 24 news is good to hear, for me.

I don't follow or think much about Jared Leto, and I wouldn't know about the Suicide Squad. But glad you are excited about it.

And @SuzanneStone, yes, it's just your username that made me think you might be female. So that is corrected; thanks. :D

Thanks. And I'm already chreered, but obviously looking forward to news on Thursday. Better news than speculation, and it's about tiiiime...

Just to clarify, I'm not excited about Suicide Squad as such, but at least it's a movie with Jared Leto in it, so I'm interested - meaning my interest was in him doing more acting work, and if this is it, fine... I was rather hoping David Fincher would get in touch again and drag him onto a movie set, or something like that, but hey... I admire Jared a hell of a lot, for many reasons (his work, the issues he gets involved in, the charming personality, etc.), and he's definitely one of my fave actors - who doesn't act anywhere near enough considering his talent and opportunities, but there are not enough hours in the day for him, I suppose. :)

Hmm, pondering if I dare go outdoors today or not... I feel much better than yesterday and am kinda back to normal colour, but...

OK, ladies, I have another question. A general medical one. Feel free to PM me about this.

I was told that I need an annual checkup for my job; it is mandatory. Fine. It includes an annual chest x-ray. That is, offhand, not fine with me. Radiation accumulates. So rather than get into personal medical stories on here, I would genuinely appreciate your thoughts in general on this thread (risk? low risk? no risk?) regarding an annual chest x-ray - and please feel free to PM me with any more detailed discussion.

I plan to be here another 7 years and 2 months. So that is 7 more chest x-rays, one each year. I have now had 3 in the past 6 years already. And yes, I need to find out the kind of x-ray specifically that was done (CT or low dose, whatever it is called), so I can figure out the actual specific dose of radiation from it (it was a newer looking machine at a good hospital, so not an old fashioned kind) and yes I did get it done today. I just would like your thoughts on this. I am healthy. It is just a check up; not an x-ray needed for any specific reason.

Again, not looking to go into medical stories here on this thread, but please PM your thoughts. I'd appreciate it. Thanks! :)>-

@Tuulia I hope you get better soon.

@jackdagger great to know you are around!

@4EverBonded that kind of anual chest x-rays are low risk. In fact, a person needs to take a lot of x-rays in a short time frame for it to be dangerous. Even then, nowadays most x-rays are done with low dosage and the type you are talking about is especially safe. The benefits are much greater than the risks. As a disclaimer I'm not a specialist in radiation but I have more than general knowledge about it from my academic training and also because I worked with radiation in the past (not x-ray, more dangerous) and had to get special training for it.

Hey girls (and guys!), I'm actually still around. I check the forums practically every day, but for some reason I just haven't been posting.
I might have to change that though, especially with the upcoming announcements for Bond 24! :\">

You definitely have to, @jackdagger! ;) It's great to know you've always been with us, but we enjoy it even more when you let your voice be heard.
Yeah, but I am not sure. Hate to say it, just unsure. I think Suzanne is ... Delfloria ...

    Well, I'm not. :P
But now I am curious as to what makes you think that I am.

Well, I think being that your username is bent towards the female gender people got to thinking you were a woman.

Oh but I meant that I am a female, just not the other person you mentioned.
I chose this username because the last movie I had watched at the time was To Die For, and not because I was consciously trying to imply my gender. Actually, I now kind of regret choosing SuzanneStone because it might reflect badly on my character. :p

Anyway, people knew I was a girl because that's the way I introduced myself in the New Members topic. So there's your mystery solved. ;)

So, just to make it clear for everyone, I welcome a new girl to the Girls' Thread, @SuzanneStone.
  • But I want to ask the other ladies here: Is anyone else sick of "photobombing" besides me? It truly might be only me. But I got sick of this trend many, many months ago.
I think it depends on the people who do it. Sometimes it can be very funny but usually it's annoying...

  • That is cute, leas_mole. I think Tuulia will enjoy that, yes. :)

That reminds me ... though I don't mean this particular photo.

I don't mind when people do it, but rather that everyone has to make a fuss about it whenever it happens, especially to a famous person. People used to 'photobomb' pictures long before everyone labeled it like that, but it wouldn't be as annoying (at least to me) because it didn't happen as often and nobody would blog and tweet and talk about it. It's the fad and the ubiquity of the term that's irritating to me.

Hi there. I think, our few girls on here have been pretty absent during the hotter phase of the production, more present during the dry spell, so this thread got lost. Lets see, if we can revive it.

;) you mean some girl drooling? He is in Menorca with Rachel and Henry. Some pics, that I cannot post right now. But way too covered up, all left to imagination.

@Germanlady we have as much right to drool as the boys ;) Plenty of photos to choose from ;)

@jackdagger long time no see! Great to "see" you around. That jacket is something else, isn't it?

The ladies are well represented in the spy craze this year with Debecki's turn as the MAIN villainous mastermind of "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." http://moviehole.net/201593607elizabeth-debicki-the-man-from-u-n-c-l-e

I haven't seen those spy movies, so can't comment on their female characters. Interesting, though... While it's also kinda sad that genre movies having decent female characters is something one is supposed to feel good about in 2015...

MMFR that got a mention in that article was awesome for many reasons, the women being just one of them. It just shouldn't be so damned rare. I was utterly stunned - and it's unfortunate that it's so rare that one is.

I'm happy to chime in here. :) Daniel's Bond looks frickin' amazing in SPECTRE. Fit, happy enough (finally, thank heavens!!!), not burnt out looking, injured, in too tight suits (the plague of the Craig era till now) or too thin. Just really fit and conditioned.

Yes, the clothes I've seen him in so far are excellent! I actually love the whole black mock turtleneck snow outfit. A lot. Fine in the white dinner jacket, oh yes. This will be the most stylish (for Bond himself) film in the Craig era, I believe. 8-> With Monica and Lea draped on his arms (and other various body parts at times), I think this movie will really sizzle. I am thinking bits will remind me Connery's Bond and Volpe, too.

Throwback/nods/influences in past Bond films? Sure. And I say why not? When done right, it's a very good idea, in my opinion. Done right means not overdone, and whatever slight feel/tone/look we get that is reminiscent of a previous Bond film (esp. a classic one) should still fit the present story like ... well, like a mink glove. ;) Should not take us out of the film really. So far, I have confidence in Mendes for this film. Craig looks fantastic in what I've seen so far. :-bd

  • Why hello all. :D Honestly, whenever there's news, comments tend to get lost inbetween these big arguments, so maybe that's why it's been slow. Anyway, yes DC looks great! But can I please mention the great styling they did on Léa Seydoux? I love her hair and dress during the train ride. :-bd
