Aside from Bond covers, I rather liked the cover for Batman Arkham Asylum.
Activision might not believe that. Back during the days of AUF, NF and EoN, magazine previews and then finally the game's cover art when it was released were all most people had to go on before buying the game. Now, we still have magazine previews, but more and more people watch trailers on YouTube, Gametrailers, Gamespot, IGN... all those other place, and a lot of people fall back on "I like the series, I'll get this one, too". Activision has a lot of reasons to believe the last one, seeing as there are way too many COD-whores out there who buy the games simply because they say "Call of Duty". It could be "Call of Duty presents: My Little Pony Dreamland" and they'd still buy it simply because "Call of Duty" is in the title.
We've also talked about Nightfire, Facebook, COD, etc. This thread has gone off topic more than once, we never started a whole new thread about any of the other topics. I don't see how 1 or 2 comments is filling it with AC discussion.
Anyway, I'm still hoping Dalton's films aren't announced. I don't want to play through them if it's Craig, it's bad enough they used him for GE.
GE, as a video game, will never be as fun as the original was. Why? Because it was a highly entertaining shooter that was made 1,000x better because it was at a time that online gaming wasn't, so inviting a bunch of your friends over for an all-night split-screen GE battle was some of the most fun you could have with the game.
I've never played the N64 version, but you're right, I don't belive that it will ever be the same. And yes, they highly need to move on to another Bond movie for a game! I love GoldenEye more than anyone else along with Crease, but I'd rather not ruin the movie by making it repetitive and typical! I think it's time we had a re-make of TND or TWINE if anything.
Yes! I would love to see how the multiplayer would turn out! I could only imagine playing on Carver's stealth boat against him and Stamper or in the Maiden's Tower against Elektra and Renard! Sadly I don't think that will ever happen. Apparently it always has to be about appealing to the Call of Duty teenagers who are just trigger-happy baffoons with no other games to their name.
It's simple: if I wanted to play CoD - which I don't - then I would go out and purchase a CoD game. I play other games because that's what I want to play.
Precisely! If it's Call of Duty you want, then by all means, go out and buy one or wait for the new one. Leave our Bond games alone! GoldenEye's remake already suffered enough from the COD franchise, let's not let that continue into others. However, sometimes I believe that there won't be any others that are actually original because all too often there goes the COD approach just to appeal to the kids. Seriously, the only original Bond game we've had recently is Blood Stone, and I praise the makers of that fine game for stepping away from the crowd.
Bond and COD are now forever married. And this is something we'll just have to live and deal with.
Consider your self lucky GE:RL is still $109nzd. :-S
I agree. Or talk about some other games , not related to Legends.
I still play them, but I don't condone what Activision does. I don't buy COD at full price, anymore, simply because I discovered at COD 2 that the series was never going to change. I don't like what Activision does, but I know I can't change it. Activision will keep making COD, will never change them, will make COD clones under other licenses, and will never change them.
Blood Stone was the only one who worths something at Activision.
If someday i am wrong, and Legends become a great game, i'll delete this post.
I'm going to guess... Die Another Day.
I would actually be very happy and pleased if it was DAD! 2002 was a new height for video games, and we didn't get DAD as a game, and when considering it's heavy game potential, I think it's about due time, what with its tenth anniversary approaching.
I Agree, I Was hoping that DAD would make it on the PS2 next to Nightfire but it didn't happen and I was somewhat disappointed, but! I can watch the film whenever I want! ;)
I think that DAD should have been the game and EON the film.
Ooooo! reality with a twist. I like it. :D
I mean, I like Die Another Day, and probably more than the 90% of the members on here, but in some ways I agree completely. EoN had that movie storyline set-up feel to it, and all the elements of a great Bond movie were present. I've read a lot of posts about this, and how Brosnan should have ended his tenure on EoN instead of DAD. It's an interesting thought, and one that might have been something cool back in the day.
