Wow. i've always had thought of, that he wanted to quit, and didn't even want to remember it's era. I'm very sorry about that now.
That's just my opinion on it. I mean, Pierce is a great man, and some of the best times of his life was on the Bond films. He adored doing it, as he converses in his Inside the Actor's Studio special, before he was fired and where he stated great enthusiasm to do more. I can understand his grudge. EON smiled at him, then suddenly shifted and kicked him to the curb.
Anyway, I'm happy to hear that OHMSS is the second film to be part of this game. I got my vote in for Thunderball or You Only Live Twice for Connery, The Living Daylights for Dalton, and Die Another Day for Brosnan.
And, i hope they do a good job. (Barely possible)
Moonraker and Majesty are already the most polar opposites as they are, so they couldn't **** it up any more. I'm not down with this game.
Does anyone think, the themes from the movies will be incorporated into this game?
Exactly. If I do bother buying the game I can't play the SF part anyway, because my xbox won't connect to xbox live for some reason.
i'll never believe that Brosnan was outright given his walking papers.... his contract was up - and they didn't choose to renew it.. IMO, there is a difference there...... was he not wanted back? thats up for debate, especially after the awful reception DAD got despite it's box office success.... it's obvious that the producers wanted to go a different direction, and felt the time was right to go with a different actor.. Pierce did himself no favors either in publicly coming out and saying "I'm done." - only later to come back and say he wants to do another when his fate was already decided... perception is everything, but I don't feel Pierce got snubbed of anything other than to go out on a better note than DAD... but just because he wanted to come back, didn't mean that EON had to bring him back - that's their choice... it's not like he signed a 3 picture deal and was fired after 2... he got his 3, plus 1, and that was that....
Lazenby, well... it's well documented that he would've liked to do at least 1 more - if it wasn't for the horrible advice given to him by his agent to walk away from the franchise as it was a "sinking ship"... lol, good move Laz.
Connery - wanted out
Lazenby - got horrible advice, walked away from role
Moore - left on his own (an argument could be made that he held on for too long)
Dalton - walked away, just the victim of horrible timing
Brosnan - contract was not renewed.
assumptions on what goes on behind closed doors aside, no one has ever been outright fired from the role
DAD would arguably make one of the best Bond video games, simply because the movie itself tries to be one.
DAD wasn't really panned when it was released, I'd say it got a mixed reception. It has the highest Rotten Tomatoes rating out of all the Brozza films except GE.

http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/die_another_day/ (59% isn't too bad)
i didn't mean the right away reaction - which a lot of critics did praise the film... but after a while, the negative reviews and fan reactions started to trickle in, until the small trickle turned in to a full on flood.
Yeah it hasn't really aged well.
That's a fantastic question, and I must say I would think that Activision might give this one the slip. They'll be too focused on graphics and gameplay to think about the soundtrack, I'd imagine. However, I would really hope so! Then we will really have the full 007 experience from whatever movie mission we are playing.
If they don't, I'll do what I always do when the soundtrack to a game I like is kinda boring to me. Turn off the game's music, put on some headphones, and play appropriate James Bond music where it belongs. ;)
I wonder how much from the movies we actually get. With Moonraker, Bond has already infiltrated the shuttle station, with OHMSS we also have pictures from the Piz Gloria raid... from the latter part of the movie.
Hahaha, nice! I know that with 007 Nightfire that's not necessary, because the game already has one rockin' soundtrack!
yes, the only games I don't do that with is the James Bond games. Though, I did listen to a few AVTAK tracks playing Everything or Nothing and they fit perfectly.
Diana Rigg's in da game.
She is? I'm wondering if they'll include Bond getting married, or if they'll just use the action scenes.
This looks miles better than the MR stuff we saw. But I don't think they will include Bond getting married.
“It’s here, in a picturesque Alpine setting, that gamers encounter an avalanche of action. Blofeld is aware of Bond’s undercover ruse and kidnaps Tracy, luring Bond into a rescue mission involving a fast-paced downhill ski chase and a confrontation in a high-flying cable car, which also uncovers Blofeld’s master plan to release a deadly virus in five of the world’s largest cities.”
So it looks like Bond will be skis, even if his enemies aren't, which sounds pretty cool (I just hope it's not on rails). It looks like they've changed the story, but this game doesn't seem to have much story at all so it doesn't really matter.
One thing I'm wondering about, if Blofeld is in it, which one will they use??? The Charles Grey one was in the Goldeneye remake multiplayer, so my guess is they'll use him, but they could use Salvas Blofeld.
I think I'll buy this when the price drops if it gets decent reviews. But I'll be skipping all the cut scenes and pretending it's Timothy Dalton.
That's true what you said about the reviews. I'll just check smaller ones on youtube and see what people on here and think about it.
