Just for our fans, we captured 50 years of Bond on the cover of the 007 Legends box art! Which level are you most excited about?
Damn!
The level where the Icarus laser fires at Activision headquarters.
please someone tell me this is a joke
X_X
Why can they not use a real pic of Mr Craig ?
:))
Daltons reaction.
Credit to @Master_Dahark.
I read a secret phonecall he made to activision.
"MAYBE YOU SHOULDN'T BE MAKING THIS GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME!" =))
"Just for our fans..."
Are they kidding? It's like they know we've been mocking the art and rubbing it in with sarcasm! How on earth can they not only give us a goddamn awful box art but also write this shoddy drivel as if it's a great announcement or something! I know I'm getting worked up about only the box art but this here is proof that Activision have no idea what they're yacking on about.
If the game turns out to be another dud game (which is a high probability), then I may have to issue the following statement, one I thought I would never use: Bring Back EA
Since the cover sucks, the whole game does. and Yes, i'm judging the book by its cover.
You needn't worry, I do the same with certain things. But, like I've stated in the past, $60+, for a college student like me, is a lot to blow on something that I don't have more certainty on in terms of how good the product will be. As much as I love Bond and the world he presents, the game looks like something I would find in a $20 or less bargain bin at GameStop or Wal-Mart.
Bond looks like clay. I won't be surprised if the game hits below expectations.
In response to TPM007's comment "Bring Back EA":
EA should never be let anywhere near the 007 franchise in the foreseeable future. They had their chance and eventually f'ed it up (the Eurocom games TWINE and Nightfire were awesome though). TND, 007 Racing, "Goldeneye" RA (even though I actually enjoyed it), and the crappy FRWL game were all duds. Not to mention their recent corporate greed would probably extend to the 007 series as well with online activation codes, charging an arm and a leg for "extras," etc.
In my opinion Activision has done an excellent job so far with the 007 license. All the games except for Bloodstone (which is a reminder of why EA should never get the license back) were great, especially Goldeneye. Even though most of the games are COD with a James Bond skin, it works. MP is still lacking in almost every area though.
With Activision however, I think Bloodstone was a step into the right direction. It was a solid game and I was compeltely entertained even though it clearly had some issues.
I haven't played QoS nor the Goldeneye's. I am interested in Legends but they making it really hard to get excited for this game.
However since I played Uncharted 2 and 3...I am dying to see Naughty Dog make a Bond or Indiana Jones game. Though Uncharted is to me in fact a hybrid of Bond and Jones.

the cover art for QOS - is, alright, but uninspired.. anyone can simply copy and paste the movie poster.. but since it was supposed to be the game tie-in for the film, i can let it slide...
<a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v323/djx187/?action=view¤t=VGbs_zpsd67bac87.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v323/djx187/VGbs_zpsd67bac87.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
the cover art for BS - is.... ugh.... how can i put this delicately...... god awful - i want to know who in Activision's art department earned a paycheck for this mess... now I know, they probably get a lot of covers and box art they need to do - but seriously?... This has got to be the laziest effort for a cover i've ever seen... it shows absolutely nothing from the game, and looks like bad generic fan art..
<a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v323/djx187/?action=view¤t=VGgerl_zps1f4f87d1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v323/djx187/VGgerl_zps1f4f87d1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
This is a little better than BS's... but it's still pretty lazy... i don't look for anything earth shattering when it comes to game covers - but at least give me something that looks like a little thought and effort went into it...
But i think i can safely say that 007 LEGENDS cover tops BS's as the worst... if the title logo isn't ugly enough - the box art is a horrible mish mash of real movie footage and a game model of Craig..... would it have been so hard to look at some of the original movie posters from Thunderball thru The Spy Who Loved Me for inspiration?... this has got to be a joke - honestly - it's got to be more terrible fan art that was leaked as being official.... because if it's not, then I am really thinking about sending in my resume to Activision to replace whatever so called "artist(s)" they have on staff... i could photoshop circles around these clowns - and anyone who has seen my Bond art, or regular graphic design work in general, knows i am not stretching the truth...... this sort of lazy design work bothers the (you know what) out of me..
You seem to have forgotten the best James Bond experience that's out there - Everything or Nothing. I wasn't actually being serious when I said bring back EA, but you cant honestly say EA shouldnt be let anywhere near the franchise when you claim Rogue Agent was good! My problem with Activision is that I believe we are gonna get stuck with FPSs all the time running off a COD engine. I for one hate COD for lack of inspiration and that is why Activision Bond FPSs are awful - there is no variety. Unlike EON, where you were shooting, driving, free falling off cliffs and having a true Bond experience. Bloodstone was bad, but it was getting there, and I'm sure a third person sequel would correct a lot of its problems.
I take it you are a COD fan, which is fine if that's what you like. But if Bond goes down the same path, we'll never see a game like EON again, and essentially get what you said yourself - COD with a Bond skin...
*yawn*
Activision made Bond become a shooting machine, not the secret agent we known. We costumed to get in Nightfire, with missions you need to infiltrate undetected in the places, and if you shot someone and the alarm blasts off, your mission's ruined. I don't even remember these in Activision's games. THESE are the real Bond games, not just shoot and do stupid objectives like shoot at single cameras when you can just head up to the system and laser watch the whole camera wire system. And plus, i miss the Bond moments (or Moves, for Nightfire fans.)
QoS (from PS2) and BS where the only games from Activision that aren't COD, and that made worth playing. The rest of them are just copies of COD, and i hate them all and surely i'll hate Legends. I'll pray to get EA back asap, because i still want to play a game with Craig from them, because their work is the best, and mainly, their covers are professional work.
You forgot this one:
Just as crappy as the rest of them. The only one I cut any slack is QOS, because at least it's current movie based.
or this image http://content8.flixster.com/photo/10/39/58/10395878_gal.jpg
...and adjusted a few details on the face and gun (probably for licencing issues). Look closer and its really obvious, and really shoddy work. I mean - just look at the gun's handle on the base, it doesn't even match!
And I too can forgive QOS's for the fact its a film tie in.
