Actually not a bad idea. I'll do that if I get the game.
There may not be much to miss.
What kind of rubbish is that ? =)) the writers of the story were payed $100,000+ to come up with that ??
It's just a best of, greatest hits, type of Bond game. It should be nice for a change and for the 50th anniversary.
Like @samuel said, doesn't seem to be much of a story, and I have my favourites on DVD anyway.
I'm not sure. Since AC3 and maybe GTA are coming out around that time I'll probably have spent as much money as I can really afford on games by the time it's released anyway. I'll probably get it a month or 2 after it's released if I hear good things about it.
Yeah a old trademack Activision 007 cop out
Whilst I dont agree with using only Craig and what sounds like a truly bullshit Assassins Creed flashback plot ripoff by far my biggest concern is that its just a feeble COD copy and paste with a thin layer of Bond polish.
GE Reloaded couldnt compete with modern day FPS games and nor will this because the general attitude is that the Bond license is just a quick way to make money rather than something that should be respected a la N64 GE.
I will be very surprised if this gets more than 7/10 in reviews and I cant see me buying it until the new year when it comes down in price.
Feel free to prove me wrong Activision. :))
Well actually Goldeneye Wii was released in 2010 and supposed to be EXCLUSIVE. Meaning it wouldn't be on PS3 or XBOX 360. The announcment of that is the biggest reason I decided to buy a Wii just before the game came out in November of 2010.1 year later it was released on the other's. Basically a slap in the face to the Wii gamers and anyone who thought it was exclusive to the Wii console. Had I known a year later it would be on the XBOX and PS3 I wouldn't have bought a Wii more than likely.
I haven't played either of the new GE reloaded and from what I've seen I don't want to.
Could 007 Legends Prove an Old James Bond Fan Theory Right?
Will Activision's upcoming Bond game finally explain why Bond never ages?
If you missed the announcement, 007 Legends is a first-of-its-kind video game that's just been announced by Activision. Developed by Eurocom (the studio behind the Wii remake of GoldenEye, and the subsequent HD 360 and PS3 port) and timed to coincide with the 50th Anniversary of the British super-spy, 007 Legends will boast an original storyline that will stitch together six Bond films, concluding with this year's Daniel Craig instalment, Skyfall.
The prospect of revisiting classic Bond stories of old may prove difficult to resist for ardent Bond buffs, but could Eurocom be onto something even bigger here?
You see, there's been a pretty divisive fan theory about the James Bond film franchise for years that seems to have this game written all over it. It's not a watertight theory, but it's quite a practical one. The theory is James Bond isn't one man; it's a code-name that comes with one's double-0 status (specifically as 007). It's a theory that explains why Bond hasn't aged a day from the moment he buried Dr. No in guano in 1962 to when he left that whiny sissy in the desert to die in Quantum of Solace.
It's an elegant explanation; after all, M and Q are names that have been inherited by several different actors over five decades. In fact, it's such a neat solution even Lee Tamahori, the director of Die Another Day, wanted to take a crack at it. Tamahori even wanted Sean Connery to cameo in Die Another Day to lend weight to his theory, but the idea was rejected.
Of course, it's not without holes. Some fans point to the Sean Connery-led Never Say Never Again as instant disproof of the theory (although Never Say Never Again wasn't an official Bond film, so it shouldn't count). However, Roger Moore's James Bond visiting the grave of the murdered wife of George Lazenby's Bond complicates things. Also, the fact that the opening sequence of GoldenEye, starring Pierce Brosnan, takes place in 1986 (which is a year before Timothy Dalton's The Living Daylights and three years before 1989's License to Kill) derails things even further.
Of course, Eurocom simply installed Daniel Craig in the Pierce Brosnan role for GoldenEye – but replacing 50 years of Bonds with Craig is going to look pretty absurd. Perhaps the clue is in the name; after all, it's not 007 Legend – it's 007 Legends. Does the plural imply more than one of them?
What do you think of this fan theory, anyway? Let us know below, and feel free to elaborate in the comments.

Right now, 57.46% of the voters think it's "a great explanation; damn the dead wife plot holes". Which IMO is ridiculous.
Just thought, there will probably be irritating, unskippable first person cut scenes with Craigs voice.
The author of this article is a complete baffoon. Worse part is that 57%+ of those who read the article are clowns as well.
When Ian Fleming or Albert R Brocoli come back from the grave and outright tell us that the codename theory is wrong, and even then, dumbasses around the world will still believe it, because "obviously" they just said that to shut those fans up.
Some people just won't stop thinking that their "brilliant" theory is right, even when the proof that it's wrong is not only staring them in the face, but practically punching them in the nose.
this is activison we are talking about- they paid off IGN and some other game companies to get good reviews...
duh its simple James Bond is a timelord...makes more sense
In July 1973, 007 returned to theatres with "Live and Let Die" and a new James Bond was ushered into the series. 44 year old Roger Moore replaced Sean Connery and began his run as 007 which lasted seven films spanning 12 years.
The movie's villain, Mr Big, had an iconic right hand man in the shape of Tee Hee, portrayed by the late Julius W. Harris. The one armed henchman lost his limb to a Louisiana crocodile called "Old Albert" and had it replaced with a menacing metal claw.
Sideshow Collectibles, founded in 1994, has been exclusively licensed to create a line of 12" collectible figures in the likeness of all five Bond actors, key villains and some of the famous women.

The idea of this being absurd only stems from the writers misunderstanding of how they adapted Goldeneye.
Contrary to what he says they did not simply replace Pierce Brosnan with Daniel Craig they also rewrote the characters, dialogue, time period and the actual story to fit within the Daniel Craig Bond's filmic universe. It was essentially the video game adaption of a non-existent Daniel Craig remake of Pierce Brosnan's Goldeneye rather than an adaption of that original movie.
I suspect that is much the same as what we will see here. Though I have no more information than anyone else here, based on the Goldeneye game I suspect there will be a shell story leading into flashbacks that are a greatest hits collection of missions past. Each of these missions will be heavily influenced by classic sequences from Bond films all through the ages but they won't simply be digitised exactly as they were on the screen. Rather they'll be re-worked into the modern timeline and continuity while (hopefully) retaining the moments and setpieces that make those sequences iconic.
If I'm correct and this is the approach they go with it's actually not dissimilar from the third game in the Hitman franchise, Hitman: Contracts. It too used the shell story leading into flashbacks that were inspired by the levels and stories of the earlier games in the franchise as well as some all new levels thrown in to mix things up.
I already suspect the release of Aliens Colonial marines and Payne lead to the Star Trek third person shooter being moved to Q1 2013, alongside the new film. I bet though the third person game is out due to these games. Activision is releasing MiB3 this month without even releasing a game play trailer. amazing spider-man look s to have had the stops pulled out but I dont know, why would they not be showing off a screenshot of bond yet?
After returning to goldeneye reloaded ive concluded that engine is dire, birds and butterflys are merely gif images like a n64 game and characters seem to drift about no matter how much they are shot.
I read once that Casino Royal was being turned into a game for EA, outside of a few screens did any footage of this leak?
where is the raven game? surely it must have been in development for 3 years now. 007 Legends must have bee in devfor two eyars if goldeneye reloaded was a port.
has the Raven game been pushed back again due to the payne hitman combo?
Crazy isnt it, the game isnt even reviewed or out there and they have said HEY WE WILL BE GIVING IT EXTENDED LIFE . I really dont think Bond will compare. those character skins for Goldeneye didnt do much. We never got the Camille Map pack and Bloodstone was screaming for another 6 hours add on story dlc or with more Multiplayer maps.
Skyfall is def one of the stories
