no sign of the ppk which the press release promised, wonder if that dlc will be for free or paid for?
dlc maybe?
As long as it's free, I'm OK with that.
I'd much prefer if you could unlock them in the game somehow.
last time they made us pay through the nose for the dlc. no sign of being able to use a bond skin outside of heros mode either

The worst Bond game trailer ever. Where the fu*k is Bond there anyway? I really can't believe it that they are trying to sell the Bond product without involving the main character. It's like trailer of Tomb Raider without Lara Croft...
I would totally like to see another edition with more Bond films.
As for the rest: whine, whine, whine.
Whine? Rog is my fav, would love him as a secret character for multiplayer. I appreciate Dan has to be the man in the story mode and dont have any issues with that. Perhaps I missed something earlier in the thread. I wasnt whining
I'm also suprised they actually included Bond getting married in the OHMSS mission. Fair play to them, I wasn't expecting that.
Exactly. These are the people behind Nightfire, one of the most well loved Bond games ever. With Rare's Bond team completely dismantled, this team gets it better than anyone else.
Goldeneye:WII/RE was quite fantastic, all things considered. The gameplay was tight and harkened back to the 64 edition on numerous occasions. 007 Classic mode required stealth and strategy. Multiplayer was a blast, especially with four people in the room.
These things worked against it:
The nostalgia didn't appeal to modern players
The updating didn't appeal to classic players
The release date didn't help sales
Bond fans simply don't seem to be big gamers anymore.
Look, this is a dream Bond game. If it had been released 10 years ago (with the tech of the time, this is not a dig at the Legends graphics which are actually quite good) and starring Pierce Brosnan, I don't think we would have be complaining. But today's fans are much less accepting.
Six Bond films in one game? A collection of Bond's greatest hits? I've been asking for this game since the original Goldeneye, and users have been imagining this game since I first signed up for MI6 is 2002. Guess what? It's here.
The gameplay looks solid and recalls many great cinematic moments. The classic lines and scores are included.
What sense does is it make to complain it doesn't follow the story exactly? The movies didn't follow the novels exactly because they were adapted for the medium. The games, likewise, have adapted the movies for the medium. That's not an insult, that's common sense.
Cannot wait for tomorrow. I hope Eurocom was given the time and budget to deliver, because I know they had the best intentions at heart. This game is for us, the ungrateful lot we are. They truly do care about Bind fans, perhaps moreso than any other developer in the world would.
I still wouldn't want the past Bond actors to be replaced, I think the whole "if it was Brosnan you wouldn't care!" argument doesn't work. People aren't complaining because it's Craig, they're complaining because he's replacing past Bonds.
That's not my argument.
Brosnan just happened to be the Bond of the day. Regardless of whom, if it was the Bond of 10 years ago, we wouldn't have cared because 10 years ago we were more accepting. The thought didn't cross our minds. I was here. It was: a Bond game is coming out! It happened to feature Pierce, but that wasn't even a point of discussion. He was Bond. It used to be such a given that its difficult to put into words.
In 007 Racing, Brosnan's Bond drove vehicles from the entirety of the Bond franchise. No complaints (about that...). We understood Bond is Bond and at the time that meant Pierce.
Today, we nitpick and whine. But Bond is Bond. As far as the franchise is concerned Sean, George, Roger, Timothy, Pierce are all just James Bond. We may call them Dalton films, for example, but they are really Bond films starring a character: James Bond. Today, to depict Bond is to depict Daniel Craig.
Im fine with craig replacing them and i get that they are trying to say that he is bond at the current moment and that he takes over this great role so to speak. When he became bond in 2006 he took in all of those other missions. Just like if the whole bond movie series started in 2006 instead of 1962...but that is not the case.
Agreed. What fan hasn't wanted that?
But as far as the Broccoli's have always been concerned (much to Connery's dismay), the character is the star and the draw. Whomever the actor happens to be at the time is secondary because they are merely embodying James Bond. But to them, there has always only been one Bond. They just use the current actor to deliver him to the audience.
This game is consistent with this long held belief.
Well, yeah, but then again it is supposed to be about Bond and he's just some kind of an extra in all of this. How come they didn't give any of his dialogues in the trailer?
I'm gonna get the game as soon as possible but I'm just dissapointed with the advertising team.
They really suprised me with that too, I'm glad it's not just "press this button, now spam this one!" Could be the best part of the game, battling Jaws or Oddjob in fist fights.
You're right about that! It's going to rock! Too bad we don't have a whole lot of footage of the fist fights. At least from the trailers, it looks even better than the gun battles! Can't wait to try that out on Oddjob in Fort Knox or Gustav Graves on the airplane!
Dr. No
Diamonds are Forever (The Lazenby Version)
The Spy Who Loved Me
The Living Daylights
Tommorow Never Dies
Casino Royale
The DLC is on the disc, so obviously you will need to get the game to play the Skyfall mission. You can't just download it and play without first purchasing 007 Legends.
