Nope. Twine is the worst.
Moore had the Lotus
Brosnan had BMW
Next guy should drive something other than an Aston Martin.
But as soon as i saw the DB5 with machine guns in the NTTD trailer my heart sunk. It's been done to death. It's regressive. The Aston chase in QoS was awesome, because it was Bond using his wits and skill (and a hefty machine gun) to get out of trouble. The car gadgets were old hat to Craig's Bond....or so i thought.
I'm all for the Aston from TLD, which is a nice surprise for NTTD. What would be even nicer is the 1969 Aston from OHMSS. Now THAT car I would like to see return for a few movies.
Yeah definitely: it'll be great to see it actually fully in action for the first time- it barely got to do much in Goldfinger, even.
One does wonder how many old classic Astons he has stashed in lockups around the city though! Good retirement plan :)
Nice nod of respect to TLD as well.
Do we know what CJF's first Bond film was? Could he be a Dalton fan?
I think CJF said his first Bond film was A View to a Kill.
I do love seeing the DB5, but it has appeared quite a lot recently. Very happy to see it go out in style (hopefully!)
A View To A Kill.
His favourite is Casino Royale.
I'm also glad to see V8 in NTTD (it's my second best Bond car).
But to be honest i'm not a fan of overusing DB5. Just because I like something doesn't mean I want it for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
I kind of liked having a new car each film and discovering what's going to go with it if we go that route. To keep handing the DB5 down to a new Bond actor is almost like and admission of the dreaded code-name theory.
