What the hell is happening with Bond's gaming future? We desperately need a game between now and B25.

Last Bond game I played was Blood Stone and QoS before that. Is there not any Next Gen Bond Games, only recently got back into gaming.

Not since that appalling 007 Legends, unfortunately.

Seems strange that none have been released, they used to churn them out with regularity.

True, but Activision no longer has the rights.

Does whoever made that POS World of Espionage game still have the rights? They screwed up royally. Look at what they did with such classic Bond villains...

Downloaded it once, played it, and deleted it immediately. Glu is a mobile gaming company, so I don't think we have anything to worry about.
You know what bothers me? Compare the stills you posted to the Mission Impossible 5 game created by the same company.

Why they felt the need to put a considerably less amount of effort to the WOE is beyond me.

Anyway this isn't really news but I recently made Movie posters of the EA Bond trilogy.

Bond's console gaming future right now - after 007 Legends - is in a medically induced Coma... the only company who publicly said they would like to do a new Bond game is Telltale Games - and while a lot of us would like to have a new game than none at all - they shouldn't hand over the license to any company that comes along - plus, just as most of the games got Bond wrong (by turning him into a machine gunning terminator), I also don't want him turned into an interactive animated movie with a bunch of button mashing quicktime events.

Naughty Dog needs to get the rights and make a series of 3rd person Bond games. After playing Uncharted, I'd bet they'd make some of the best and the most cinematic of Bond games.

ND is a dream shot, but yes, their set pieces alone for the game/s would be out of this world.

We just need the rights to go to developers and publishers that truly want to do Bond right. That means a great story AND great gameplay that feels Bondian in style and content, instead of cash grabbing projects Activision so heartily had pushed out.

Perhaps it's time we started bringing spotlight back to these games. I should be doing quite a few posters like this myself!

And perfect choice with casting Jean Reno as Nigel Bloch!

I agree, Those were the Best Bond games of the decade. And thanks again, When it came down to casting I wasn't sure who would fit Bloch then I just thought of how Jean Reno wears similar glasses as Bloch in Leon and I know from there on I had Cinematic Nigel Bloch. And I always thought Malprave looked and sounded like Elizabeth Hurley so that was a no brainer. My favorite part was including Zoe and Carla the Jackal. I didn't really know who would fit their roles so I used the model pictures from the original game Box art. I did the same thing for Dominique in my Nightfire poster. Though the AUF poster is probably my favorite because I don't see it get as much love. :)

Zoe Nightshade? Go for Xenia Seeberg or Peta Wilson. Carla The Jackal? Laetitia Casta.

And well said about the choices you've picked! :D

Great ideas. I shall be toying with the idea of alternate poster concepts. :D

I recently replayed BloodStone. This is definitely the only game Activision got right.

They didn't even get that right. I mean, Blood Stone has a great story and is a great looking game, but gameplay-wise, it's anything but a video game, just like the rest of the Activision titles.

i think Bloodstone is pretty good. it is far from perfect and could have definitly benefited from a couple more month of polish, but i rather have this than no game. The PTS is worth the money alone and in my opinion one of the Best (if not the best) in the entire franchise...
I do like Quantum Of Solace a little bit more though, but not much.
The wait for a new game is killing me, more so than any Bond25 talk. We are living in the Golden Age of triple A gaming, and Bond is more popular than ever, but EoN does not seem to care at all... i can only hope they take their time to make it perfect... oh well maybe i am just kidding myself

Blood Stone is very good, but I wouldn't describe it as a video game, but artificially interactive theatrical film, if that makes sense. The linear structure was the downpoint for me, as was the scripted AI and level design, especially the driving segments.

Now, Danjaq and MGM should pull off Arkham on Bond and let the developers and publishers work freely on the license as long as they comply to the conditions. Back when I had a word with Ed Lima through chat, he told me that they were handed over a catalog of how to use the Bond character alone and the traits of the franchise. By the time someone else acquires the permission to publish games based on the franchise title, the copyright holders should give those chaps freedom, as opposed to whatever Babs tried to do during the development of Nightfire. She gave them hard time according to Gearbox Software, almost erasing the shooter elements as well as the X-Ray sunglasses, thinking it would've given infants the wrong image of... You know...

    Interesting about Babs.
Regarding BS, that's kind of what I love about it. It so cinematic. Driving segments are an important part of the Bond gaming universe, which both QoS and GE Reloaded lacked.

@ClarkDevlin, i absolutely agree, the devolopers should have a lot of freedom, as long as they stay true to some basic rules of the Bond Universe and the characters.
Nowadays, studios like Naughty dog and Rocksteady are the stars and they can do whatever they want, and don't rely on big external movie licences to have a Hit. Of course Rocksteady had big success with the Batman licence, but they made it completely their own world, and i hope a studio can come in and do the same for Bond.
What i would definitly like to see in a Bond game franchise would be the more fantastical elements, from movies like Spy Who Loved me etc, basically what EA did with games like EoN and Nightfall. It lends itself to way more gameplay oportunities and simply fun.
Also give us some great driving sequences, a poker/baccarat simulator :D and semi open worlds like in the new Hitman.
I feel like the Craig games were a little bit too restrictive in their 'realism', or maybe it was just because as you said, they were too much like a interactive theatrical film

Reloaded had a driving segment, which was the tank chase. It was done better than the driving levels of Blood Stone. People tend to forget, however, that 007 Legends did have driving segments, too. Two kinds, and one of them was irritating: That being the system that applied to the skiing bit and the motorcycle part from the Skyfall mission. Both used the same system. But, the car driving levels were done greatly, in my opinion, especially during the Die Another Day mission which I thoroughly enjoyed.

And definitely, @00Agent! I couldn't agree more on what you said. That also said, Blood Stone's Nintendo DS counterpart had a Texas Hold 'Em Poker game where you play as Bond against a different looking Stefan Pomerov in his own casino. I enjoyed that a lot. In the PS1 version of The World Is Not Enough, we were given the objective of winning at a Black Jack game in Zukovsky's Casino, which was one of the game's few highlights. I think the GBA version of Everything or Nothing had Baccarat as a mini-game option, too, even though unrelated to the main game itself.

I have said it Before and I will say it again Eon and Ubisoft need to come to agreement and the next game should be Colonel Sun based on the novel with either Craig as 007 or if he is really gone and we have a bit of between bond phase then bring back Sir Timothy Dalton and use his likeness (Moore and Lazenby would never agree and we already have Brosnan Connery and Craig) and there you go... Heck you can even bring Dame Judi Dench back as M (Goldeneye was her first film but I don't believe it is stated how long she was M and besides Dalton and Brosnan are playing the same bond so why can't Dalton's M be bossed around by dench's M) and there you go obviously of Craig is still bond do he story with him as 007 and Fiennes as M and there you have it make the novel (and the game) cinematic and beautiful and really take the player through a classic bond novel that will never be developed as a film this way All parties are happy and everyone will make a lot of money on this.
