I thought it was decent, but I wasn't happy that it was a Call of Duty clone. I also hate when any game has "quick time events," although Goldeneye 007/Reloaded does quick time events better than any other game I've played. They serve their purpose (make a point in the game-play more cinematic) and they are forgiving of taking a second to find the button. I have found that it doesn't have all that much replay value (except for the multiplayer, of course). It's replay value pales in comparison to the original. I can still play that for hours.
but there were aspects of the game i liked.. i liked the remake of the Goldeneye theme itself - it doesn't beat the Tina Turner original, but on it's own it's a good version... the score done by David Arnold (and i cant remember the other guy's name - Kevin something) i thought was really good.... one other part of the game that stood out to me was the nightclub part - before you meet Valentine - something about that brief part of the game i always liked and it always felt very Bondian to me..
Couldn't help myself, wouldn't this be a nice game?
I still have mine in the pipeline.
I would buy a PS4 TODAY.
I'm not a fan of the Ubisoft logo, but the game wouldn't be bad.
That's really good. That's a good cast too. I wouldn't have thought of Katee Sackhoff for Zoe Nightshade, so props to whomever suggested her.
Like I said I am replacing Legends now and the level designs are really lovely it's just the actor playing bond is annoying and the story makes no sense.
I would be fine with Goldeneye Rogue Agent hd remake for ps4/Xbox 1 at this rate lmao the lack of new modern bond stories is kind of depressing.
Just imagine all the great missions... rock climbing, ski chase, car chase, warehouse shoot out and of course flying 'Remote Control Airways'. All this in a semi-open world where you can go around as Bond in parts of Greece, London and Italy. :D
Absolutely... but...
Wouldn't you rather drive the Citroën? It drives lovely in the country.
Actually nearly all the films are represented in one way shape or form even if we only focus in on Goldeneye N64- 007 legends
Dr. No locations and characters were used in Goldenye Rogue Agent
From Russia With Love: was made into a game by EA
Goldfinger: characters setting and some of the plot was used in Rogue Agent and Legends
Thunderball: elements of the plot was used in the final level of From Russia with love the game
You Only Live twice: elements were used in Rogue Agents
On her Majesties secret service: elements were used in 007 legends
Diamonds are forever: one could argue the casino level in Rogue Agent is meant as a nod to the film but it could also be argued not
Live and Let Die: Baron Samedi is in Goldeneye N64 but sadly that is about it
The Man with the golden gun: scarmanga@s fun house was used as a multiplayer map a few times the golden gun also has shown up as an unlock able weapon and scaramanga himself is in rogue agent and as a multiplayer character In numerous games
The spy who loved me: apart from jaws and a few multiplayer maps that is about it
Moonraker: elements was used in Nightfire and Legends
For your eyes only: sadly nothing I can remeber
Octopussy: an Atari game was made for this I believe but nothing modern I can remember
A view to a kill: Zorin and May Day have both shown up in multiplayer also the climax of the film was a multiplayer map in rogue agent
The living daylights: was a video game for the Atari but nothing modern
Licence to kill: elements were used in Legends
Goldenye: was adapted twice into a game
Tomorrow never dies: was adapted into a game and carver printing press was used as a multiplayer map
The world is not enough: made into a game
Die another day: elements were used in Legends
Casino Royale: nearly made into a game from EA how er most of the film was used in activision's quantum of solace game
Quantum of solace: was made into a game also elements I feel were used in bloodstone
Skyfall was made into dlc for Legends
Spectre: no game was made of it but Blofeld has shown up in previous games most notably Legends and rogue agent
So there you have it while not a 1-1 ratio a good portion of the films have been adapted in some way shape or form.
Maybe. I was happy with Reloaded, though. I knew it wasn't going to be the mega-hit the original GoldenEye ended up being because it was trying to be a mega-hit, while the original GoldenEye was a total surprise hit. It wasn't a great game, and it wasn't a bad game. It was average, and that was all I was expected.
Sad thing, though, is that I wrote a "remake" fanfic novelization of GoldenEye tailored to the Craig Bond that ended up a bit more faithful.
Have you uploaded it anywhere? I'd like to give it a read, if you don't mind, of course.
EDIT: Sorry, I was distracted and misread your comment. I thought you only referred to the Statue Park, at first. Then yes, the St. Petersburg levels in the military compound was averagely good. Not very good. Just that. The tank level was alright, as well.
