"A facebook page called 'The Unofficial James Bond Fan Club' published the following fact a few hours ago :

Bond Rumor: James Bond will return to the video game world in October 2015 with a new game. The publisher is currently unknown but it is rumored to be based off of Bond 24. Current publishers rumored are Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, and Sony of America.

I found nowhere an article about this. Who knows ?"

This Is unsurprising (annoying to as I was hoping for a new original Craig Bond Game in 2014 however if it is Ubisoft and it is Stealth and awesome then I am ok!

you will find this story comes from this very thread.
i dont think ubisoft will be keen to pick up the bond ip as they already have splintercell and far cry both satisfy a number of thingss that would go into a over all bond adventure.

    Bump!
With the release of the ps4 and the supposed release for bond to be 2015 I would propose people start talking about what they want from a future bond title.
as this is prob the most vocal of bond sites have no doubt they will be looking here for ways forward.
I would not mind myself seeing a island to explore akin to arkham asylum or far cry allowing me to set up my own missions or doing side missions to gather further intell to SMASH an enemy

    as for multiplayer
I do not mind multiplayer just the last two outtings had the most boring match modes, bloodstone had an interesting twist where anyone could become bond depending on their ability within the game, look to arkham origins for a oddly compelling view on this.
a mode such as undercover cop mode from kane and lynch 2 may be the way forward as well. i recall in legends how i would sneak into trophy boosting sessions to put a stop to their ill gotten gain.
  • There's lots of stuff I want really. I want an original story (please not a Bond 24 tie in), and although I'm not sure an entirely open world suits Bond, something along the lines of Dishonoured would be good: big, open levels with optional side missions that can help you and tons of ways of approaching things.

Imagine being placed in a location, a city (well, part of a city, they couldn't make a city for every level). You have to steal some documents from an office building. You could drive straight there, kill everyone, then escape in a car chase. Or you could move in stealthily, crawling through vents, taking disguises, etc. before you go, you could go and meet a contact who's been working undercover, but their cover has been blown, they're at some warehouse somewhere and you have to save them. Once you've done that they give you a keycard allowing you to access locked rooms easily. Or you could go to the casino across the street from the offices, win enough money to access the VIP room, then slip out onto the ledge and use a Batman esque zipline launcher (which you got from Q, as an optional objective earlier), to get across to the building, and then you're on the same floor as the documents, making getting it much easier. Or if playing cards isn't your thing you could sneak into the VIP room or gain access to the office building by seducing the baddy's girlfriend and having her steal it for you next time she's there.

What I really want most though is for them to not make it a shooter. There's so much more to Bond than killing people and I hope whoever gets the licence next realises that (although sadly it's not likely).

I would imagine that's pretty much how Rockstar's AGENT will play out (if they ever finish its bloody development).

I do wish we would have some kind of announcement regarding the next 007 game

I'm hoping we'll get some information about a developer/publisher soon but I doubt we'll get any information about the game itself until late next year at the earliest.

I just want a Bond game that's bloody good. It's been 9 years since we last had one that was exceptional.

Spot on. Also, to think it was delayed a few months which no doubt helped the quality even more. That would never happen today.

I can't believe it's been nearly 10 years since Everything Or Nothing (and it's been 11 years since Nightfire!). Those games still hold up brilliantly today.

So it's nearly an entire decade of either mediocre or totally piss poor Bond games. It says something when FRWL is by far the best of them.

I may just have to dust off the PS2 so I can remind myself of how good EON was and how bad it's gotten since then.

I think Bloodstone beats FRWL because FRWL butchered the film. If they'd just made an original 60s set story it could've been one of the best Bond games (after all it offered everything EON did gameplay wise).

I just find Bloodstone so bloody dull though. It doesn't help that it was trying to copy from the template of Uncharted and failed miserably. The cover/fire system is simply awful.

EON I thought was ok not amazing as for the next bond game I want something like Splinter Cell honestly.

BloodStone was similar but the story felt WAY too short a longer story and similar mechanics and I am a happy camper.

I expect to see the next GTA, Max Payne and Red Dead games before Agent gets finished. Hell, we may even see a sequel to the Legend of Dragoon before Agent is finished.

I really won't be surprised if 'Agent' never sees the light of day. I'm sure Rockstar will focus on GTA Online and 'GTA V' DLC for quite some time, I wonder what they'll tackle after that.

I think I read somewhere, maybe IGN, that Rockstar's head has plans for "the next 40 years of Rockstar games", which, at the pace they put out games, is probably only seven or eight games at max.

I don't think Agent will see the light of day. It sounded too good to be true, so it probably is.

Agent is coming, don't you all worry. Rockstar very recently updated the trademark, so I don't see why you are writing its last rites already.

Only seven or eight games in 40 years? How'd you reach that conclusion? In only the last five years (since GTA IV) they've already released five games. Regardless, Rockstar is my favorite developer because they only release a game when they are happy with it, and aren't afraid to delay their titles unlike so many others who cash in on sloppy games that were rushed to release. I'd rather wait years for a great game then get a mediocre one annually.

GTA4, Red Dead Redemption, Max Payne 3, GTA5, what am I missing? And I'm not saying they don't make good games, but the wait times are still atrocious. When everything else is so crap, the wait becomes unbearable, and then it's over, you you feel like that wait time wasn't really worth it.

They certainly aren't perfect, but I have always respected Rockstar's ability to try new things (and genres), innovate, and most importantly, make characters and story the most important part of their games. I still hold Red Dead Redemption as one of the greatest games ever made, because it truly is a pinnacle of the art form. Rockstar have shown time and time again that games can go beyond mere mindless entertainment to become pieces of genuine art that offer characters and emotional beats that stay with you long after you put down the controller. Their games challenge morality, values and humanity, make you like the people you shouldn't, cry out of love for a hero you connected with as they meet their fate, and feel like every single character in the game is a tangible, real human being. Every time I want to be moved by a game, I turn to Rockstar, and they've never let me down in that department.

You missed LA Noire, Midnight Club (never played it though) and then there's all the additional GTA Liberty City stories DLC content and the DLC story for Red Dead.

Oh, yeah, LA Noire. I also don't count DLC. That's not an entirely new game. There was a new Midnight Club? News to me. I thought that ended in... 2004, or something.

I count Rockstar's DLC only because the Liberty City Stories add on content includes two pretty sizeable stories aside from GTA IV's main campaign. I haven't played the zombie story DLC for Red Dead, so I can't comment on that.

I wouldn't count the 'GTA IV' DLC. It's like anything else, it just added some vehicles, weapons, and missions. Both of them had fairly short storylines, too.

Had they added entirely different cities, I may have counted them, but otherwise they're just the main campaign with some tweaked missions being played from the perspectives of a biker and a guy named Luis who everybody loves but I can't stand. Gay Tony, on the other hand, I actually liked. He was funny, and he looks like Robert Downey Jr (and if this was PS2 era GTA, he may very well have been played by Robert Downey Jr). It took me awhile to finish GTA4's campaign, but I finished each of the Episodes in less than a day. Doing side missions. That's sad.

Well, the Liberty City Stories DLC obviously couldn't have taken us to different cities, because it has LC right in the title. I didn't just rush through the DLC stories, so I enjoyed them to their fullest, and I liked how they all tied together. They are obviously much shorter than GTA IV, but they still required a lot of individual work to develop and they have some missions that were right up there with what GTA IV had to offer.
