We could get some "Bondception" going by experiencing the Die Another Day VR training scene in VR itself.

I'd imagine both 8th and 9th gen consoles. The PS5 is likely to continue having stock issues into the new year.

If I may chime in - if you're deciding between the One and the One X, get the One X. It's more powerful, doubles as a 4K/UHD Blu-ray player, and can output native 4K. In that regard, it's a little more future proof compared to the dating One.

The Series S may also be an option if you don't mind going digital. Its upscaling is excellent plus a little boost of "next gen" capabilities.

Can I still play games like Hitman cause I want to play some games on it lets say December 1st and also can it play DVD's?

I saw that it can play DVDs ( sorry I stopped buying technologies in 2015.... I have a house a wife and my career that was promised 6 figures is still sputtering and shy by more then a bit

The One X? Yes it can. With the exception of Flight Simulator, the current library of games between the Series S/X and the One/One X are cross compatible. You can play Hitman all day!

It'll likely stay that way for the foreseeable future too. Xbox utilities what Microsoft calls "smart delivery" which is essentially just the game detecting which console you are using and giving you the best optimized features for said console. It gets a little confusing because of how similarly the consoles are named, but the feature is working well.

Also yes - the One X can play standard DVDs, Blu-ray, and 4K UHD discs.

Ok I will put One X on my list this way just incase they don't put project007 on One

I have a One S, the physical option, and it serves its purpose perfectly fine. The One is in its twilight years now, but it should serve you well. Go for it, if you aren't too bothered about jumping into the current gen early on.

If it's on the One X, it'll work on the One so to quote the PTS of Casino Royale,

Well this is definitely an interesting rumor but I doubt it will happen

There seems to definitely be something to this. It could go a step further to explaining why the fan GoldenEye 25 projects were shut down. As I genuinely don't expect IOI's Project 007 until 2023 at the earliest, this would be a wonderful way to give us something while we wait.

However I am going to say something shocking

I would prefer a new version of the world is not enough to be honest

That being said they could release 007 racing or 007 legends for the Xbox series x and I would buy it opening day let’s be honest

If this game does well enough I’m sure the World is Not Enough would be on the table

It would be nice to see a lot of the old Bond games get a legacy release, but I won't hold my breath. I'll certainly settle for GoldenEye, which seems the easiest from a licensing perspective. I assume the waters would get muddier with the (now defunct) Eurocom developed games.

Really hoping if that ends up happening the Switch will get it, and it can be bought separately from the dumb online system they have set up.

Same thing for the PS4, I would buy the disc itself.

Unfortunately, with Nintendo being Nintendo, then it'll probably be stuck on that Switch Online nonsense that they've set up for the legacy games.

Hoping that Goldeneye N64’s re-release is announced during tonight’s Nintendo Direct.

I heard that a certain spy would be making his presence known this week my guess was tonight would be the night

My hope is its not a Nintendo exclusive till some date where it will be released on XBOX one

Make that across all gaming platforms. James Bond doesn’t belong on just one gaming console.

The only console that might get left behind for GoldenEye would be Playstation. Nintendo and Microsoft have developed a good working relationship in regards to the Rare properties in recent years so I would anticipate an Xbox, Nintendo, and possibly PC release (as it will no doubt be on Xbox Game Pass). While other Microsoft owned games/game developers have released titles on Playstation, it would be a first for Rare itself to do so.

I must say even though many will draw their guns at me

I kind of prefer the world is not enough to goldeneye in both film and video game format

I shall now attend all bond functions with a fake mustache under the name Guy incognito

I agree in so far as GoldenEye isn’t the best Bond game. It might sound a little unfair, but the technology that came in with the PS2/GC/XBX generation, allowed the games to blur the lines between the games and films. EON and NF are my favourites, though there is no denying just how influential GE was, not just to Bond games, but the gaming industry at large.
  • Agreed, as much as I love Goldeneye 64, playing it on the actual system has become a bit dated thanks to its control schemes. I will say that playing the game on Emulator with a mouse and keyboard greatly fixes that issue, as does playing the leaked remastered for 360, but for me, AUF, NF, and FRWL are my favorites without a doubt.
