It would appear one or two participants are just firing off random names and hoping for the best and saying the first name that comes to them without giving proper thought to who this could be by way of the clues presented
To help bring closure to this, it should be made aware the 'other' James Bond in question on clue #11 is Sean Connery. That at least, would assist a great many things
Will check back at a later date to see how you're getting on with this. Have a few 'things' to do this night..
#1 I did not have a good morning
#2 I was unable to experience the night
#3 You won't see me at Disneyland
#4 Some distinguished company came to see me
#5 Say my name three times
#6 I feel I may know Dustin Hoffman
#7 The above clue may be a reference to near where I was last seen, or involved in
#8 I had a moment of confusion
#9 I had something to sell, in a later appearance
#10 I got a bit carried away, in the end
#11 Another James Bond made a reference to what occured to me, in another film, that was witnessed by another James Bond
#12 I made an error, but they were very benevolent about it
#13 I saw a most horrendous sight
#14 I died hard - with a vengeance
#15 I was beyond assistance
#16 You won't enjoy a drink with me
#17 It was a good year for the city. They saw a win. But I suffered a loss
#18 I'm not really one for music. But if I had to pick a favorite group - maybe Blondie
#19 I was in an element of danger, one more than one occasion
#20 Something was up - in more ways than one
#21 Some of my nearest and dearest, ended up in the same predicament
#22 I was seperated at death
#23 I had a Stir of Echoes
#24 Some might say, I have great affection
#25 I had a brush with death
#26 I was involved in a rapid departure
#27 I did not have a great escape
#28 Someone had to pay - and in more ways than one
#29 I had a French Connection
#30 I was without a definitive number
#31 One of my superiors was a real prodigy
#32 I could of been, and should of been, in From Russia With Love
#33 I managed to escape the camera
#34 I may be a distant relative of Billy Joel
#35 I had an Italian, in France
#36 You could say, I'm a bit of a mixed bag
#37 You won't have much time to find out who I am
#38 Someone lost something. I recieved something. But I wish they had kept it
#39 I was largely responsible for waking someone up
#40 Dolly Parton once gave me a brief mention
#41 I went In, I went Down, I went Up, and went no further
#42 I didn't recieve the recognition I deserved - or was rudely ignored
#43 I was (greatly) responsible for the waste of two good measures of liquor
#44 I can may be excused, any fundamental errors
#45 I'm not often heard, and not often seen (in the bigger picture)
......................... bonus clues ........................................................
#46 I lost a race, I could never win
#47 I had essentially - what was the title of that years film release
#48 I rose from the living - to the dead
#49 I can be quite useful at times - for nefarious purposes
#50 You can't see me - but you know I was involved
With that comes an incredibly stupid response, but for some reason, some of these clues bring it up, so I'll get them out of the way: is it the spider from DN?
I just want to say that before, not this round, Baltimore had said he always does a character that at least has some lines to say. So not just a non-talking bit player, could be quite minor or could be larger. I am simply assuming that is still true for what he chooses.
I don't have another guess yet, but I will in a bit ... thinking now of maybe Kronsteen's boss but I need to look that up - Blofeld's been tried but maybe it was someone else ...
That's good. That's what I've been doing, focusing on certain clues that would really narrow it done and go from there. I wonder if that's who the character is.
I have been reading over the clues since I haven't participated much this round, and for the moment I will guess Dr. Carl Mortner/Hans Glaub from AVTAK.
Many things lead me to this guess. The Dustin Hoffman clue made me think of a show he was on, called "Luck" that featured horse racing. I then thought about AVTAK, naturally, deleted all the guesses thus far, and thought about Mortner especially as he isn't a major character and would be a good fit for some of the clues.
#27 I did not have a great escape- May reference the classic film The Great Escape featuring a plotted escape from a German camp in WWII (Nazis come to mind, obviously, as does a character like Mortner)
#34 I may be a distant relative of Billy Joel- A related name to Hans is Jack, and Billy has a song called Captain Jack.
#47 I had essentially - what was the title of that years film release- He had a view to his own death while looking out over San Francisco from Zorin's blimp.
#38 Someone lost something. I recieved something. But I wish they had kept it- A lit stick of dynamite is accidentally dropped aboard the blimp, it is tossed near Mortner and it is too late for him to throw it, killing everyone (including him) aboard.
#18 I'm not really one for music. But if I had to pick a favorite group - maybe Blondie- The name Hans reminded me of the German tale of Hansel and Gretel, and Hansel has blonde hair in the said story.
#37 You won't have much time to find out who I am- I think we only find out about the Dr.'s Nazi past later on in AVTAK. It has been a while since I watched it, so I could be incorrect about this clue.
I am not 100% sure about this guess, but I do feel some confidence.
