Lazenby's sidekick in OHMSS? The blonde haired bloke who climbs to Piz Gloria then is killed?

Campbell (On Her Majestys Secret Service) already guessed

Jesus. This round isn't interesting anymore it's just too hard. The fun factor was gone about five pages ago. I think if we reach 100 wrong characters Baltimore should just give us a reveal. And we must be close now.

EDIT: We're at something like 120. I say reveal at 150 then.

Yes I gave up last week!

I disagree. I think it is a lot more fun when its like this. No fun when someone guesses and gets it right straight away. Bring on the guesses!
  • Well as this round has been going on for a month now it's become really quite tedious. Many people have had enough by now.

Sorry, but this has MAJORLY lost any type of fun factor. Over 50 clues and still no correct answer. Sorry but these clues suck.
  • I have a feeling most of these clues are going to be so vague that you'd only be able to tie them up to the character in question if you already knew the answer!

I believe that we shouldn't give up, but we NEED more clues! Not cryptic ones!

You're not kidding. Steven Hawking couldn't make a correct guess with these clues!

I woke up to nearly 30 new posts in this thread - I was so excited! I thought, "Yay! Somebody guessed it!" But no.

It isn't fun any more for me. I did make one last guess. I am genuinely interested in knowing the character and having some or many of the clues explained.

At some point, if it is not guessed, Baltimore needs to call it a day - proclaim himself forever winner/champion - and let us know the character.

I've had plenty of guesses and I refuse to partake any further. This game is (or at least was) supposed to be fun which is why most of us give one decent clue at a time rather than a dozen of really ambiguous ones which leads in all sorts of directions other than towards the correct answer.

I looked at the last #50 clue character that Baltimore did and even after seeing the correct answer, I thought the clues were still pretty innocuous.

Now, now, folks. I don't think having Baltimore feed us the answer is the right thing to do. I enjoy mysteries, especially when they are this challenging, so I say we keep pushing on. I am shocked at how many of you have thrown in the towel on this.

My next guess is Locque from FYEO.

So far there have been 107, yes one hundread and seven incorrect answers (not including those given since Baltimore's last visit). I think it's fair to say that everyone is just throwing up random guesses at this point.
  • one hundread and seven
Was that a deliberate typo @WillyGalore?

    :)
  • I'd like to say yes but I'd be lying so I'll say no ;-)

It was a schoolboy spelling error. But it does sum up this round perfectly!

That's where you are wrong, and I don't appreciate the generalization. Quit if you want to, but don't claim that those like me who are still playing the game are just guessing without logical thought.

To quote Sherlock Holmes: "I never guess."

I know you are making thoughtful guesses, and others are too, 0Brady.
I just feel it is not fun any more. That is just my feeling on it. I like this thread but it has gone on too long for me. I am happy that you are still enjoying it. To each his own.

I would be lying if I said I have never gotten frustrated with this game, so I understand what you are saying. Heck, I have had some guesses where I laid out in complete confidence why I thought each character matched several of the clues in a large post, only to find that I guessed incorrectly. It can hurt, but the mystery-lover and Sherlock obsessive soul inside me likes this massive hunt for just one character out of hundreds in a film series now half a century old and 23 films long. The challenge is one I relish, and I don't want Baltimore to feed us the answer and ruin that great mystery.

    Gettler?
  • Where to start?

    Grunther is an incorrect response

Vijay (Octopussy) is an incorrect response

Shady Tree is an incorrect response

Domino Derval (already has been put down as an incorrect response)

Dr Tynan (Diamonds are Forever) is an incorrect response

Man with wine bottle from the Roger Moore releases in an incorrect response

General Ourumov is an incorrect response

Rodney (as already mentioned) is an incorrect response

Campbell (OHMSS) (as already mentioned) is an incorrect response

Doctor Metz (DAF) is an incorrect response

Emil Leopold Locque is an incorrect response

Buzzsaw from Octopussy (or was it The Running Man ? ) - is an incorrect response

Gettler (Casino Royale) is an incorrect response

I think I can ascertain, that's about all the most recent responses from a last visit.

Seems to be a certain degree of animosity manifesting on this now. Sorry to those who are getting frustrated - but a lot of time and effort has been put into this - and we're going to continue until that elusive answer has been found. What's the damn point in just giving away the answer, after we've come this far ? Did that once before after a mammoth round - and eventually I gave in to pressure. It will not occur this time

If you don't want to participate - then stay away- and let those valuable names remain, in search of the right answer. To those I say, I appreciate your interest in this

This has to go sooner or later - and it will - nothing lasts forever - so the detractors in question will have their way eventually.

To everyone else - keep at it - and good luck with your endeavors

I think you would save yourself time, @Baltimore_007, by just stating that all above answers are incorrect.

How about Mr. Kil from DAD? Some clues fit, but then again many counter it, as usual.
