    Wow! :D A mighty well done @Birdleson.

Thanks to @Baltimore_007 for making something that was able to last a while. Truly the King of this contest.

    hear, hear! :)

But we can all agree that @Baltimore will never be beaten at this game.
I do hope he can provide at least of the answers to the clues - maybe the top 12, or however many it was he stated were the most important clues.

Oh, absolutely. Nobody ever comes close to creating the rounds of such length like Baltimore does. Continuous props to him! I think I've handled this thing twice and it's usually answered within ten guesses or so.

Is that how it works? Someone let me know.

When you guess correctly, your the game master next. Your turn to select a character for us to guess.

I'm new to the boards, sorry to know the rules, but do I start with one clue? Or several? And how often do I add a clue?

    It's up to you. :)

Okay. I know the character. Give me a few hours and I will have ten clues. Does that sound fair?

    Sounds good.

  • First of all, congratulations, @Birdleson! Is it Kronsteen?

And I do hate to derail this round, but can we please get a breakdown of the clues, Baltimore? After a round as great as that, it would be a shame not to see what everything meant.

#1 Something unpleasant got a little too close to me

CONNERY POINTED A SHOTGUN TO THE FACE OF ME WHEN ASKING FOR KEYS

#2 Over Land, Sea, and Air

I TRAVELED OVER LAND, BY BOAT, AND A HELICOPTER WAS INVOLVED

#3 I had a moment of intense dissatisfaction

OBVIOUS FRUSTRATION WHEN CONNERY SHOT DOWN THE TWO MEN TRYING TO KILL HIM (BOND)

#4 I had a tale of the unexpected

WAS EXPECTING GRANT FROM THE ORIENT EXPRESS - NOT JAMES BOND

#5 I should of stayed in bed

"IT JUST WASN'T MY DAY" (CONNERY QUOTE WHEN PUSHED OVERBOARD)

#6 Some would say, I have a pleasant odor

VENDOR OF FLOWERS THAT INVARIBLY GENERATE A PLEASANT SMELL

#7 I was in the dark, but then things became clearer - in more ways than one

IT WAS STARTING TO GET LIGHT WHEN YOU FIRST SEE ME EXPECTING GRANT FROM THE TRAIN - DAY SOON FOLLOWED, AND WAS UNABLE TO DETECT WHAT WAS GOING ON WHEN GRANT DID NOT APPEAR, BUT BOND ON THE SCENE PUT THINGS TOGETHER

#8 What goes up, must come down

    REFERENCE TO THE HELICOPTER SEQUENCE

#9 I don't necessarily need words, or emotions, to show displeasure

I GRUMBLED OR HAD A LOOK OF DISADAIN WHEN CONNERY SHOT DOWN THE HELICOPTER

#10 I was bound to get into some problems

MY BELT TIED MY ARMS BEHIND MY BACK

    #11 I saw an arrival. I saw a departure

THE TRAIN ARRIVED EXPECTING GRANT, THE TRAIN LEFT AFTER CONNERY AND ROMANOVA GOT OFF

#12 Something was taken off me - one more than one occasion

THE KEYS, THE BELT, THE KNIFE ETC

#13 Someone made things awkward for me - they later did me a favor

BOND TIED MY ARMS BEHIND ME, HE LATER RELEASED ME

#14 My biggest noise (made) was perhaps louder than mere words

A LARGE SPLASH WHEN ENTERING THE WATER

#15 I had an ending that was suitable for my business

    ALWAYS PUT FLOWERS IN WATER

#16 My closest companion had a 'Ray Liotta moment from Goodfellas'

CONNERY GLACING THROUGH THE WINDSHIELD AND AN OVERHEAD HELICOPTER

#17 Someone did me some harm, but they were quite pleasant about it

CONNERY HIT ME WITH A PUNCH AND SHUT THE HOOD OF THE TRUCK DOWN ON MY FINGERS, BUT HAD THE DECENCY TO SAY "EXCUSE ME"

#18 I lost something, I may never retrieve

I WONT FIND THAT KNIFE THAT BOND THREW IN THE BUSHES

#19 I was part of an audience that saw some short lived entertainment

ME AND ROMANOVA AND THE BOND / HELICOPTER SEQUENCE THAT ENDED BEING SHOT DOWN

#20 I'm not the most observant of individuals

OBVIOUSLY WASN'T AWARE OF BOND HIDING WHEN I WAS LOOKING FOR GRANT

#21 Someone put me at incredible risk

THE TWO DROPPING GRENADES OUT OF THE HELICOPTER WHEN DRIVING THE TRUCK AND I WAS A PASSENGER

#22 I wouldn't make a very good soccer player for Argentina

HAD MY HANDS TIED BEHIND MY BACK (MARADONA HAD A FOUL IN A FAMOUS SOCCER MOMENT)

#23 Danger was coming down, Danger was going up

GRENADES COMING DOWN ON THE TRUCK - CONNERY USING THE SNIPERS RIFLE TO FIRE BACK UP AT THEM

#24 I'm not really the ideal candidate for what my business would appear to be

A SCRUFFY AND UNWASHED APPEARANCE IS NOT BEST SUITED TO SOME WHO WANT TO PURCHASE FLOWERS

(I lost the rest of the clues so please bear with me - Is the new character Max Zorin incidentally ?)

#25 I had an 'associate' in another James Bond release

MRS WHISTLER IN DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER - I DID SOME WHISTLING IN MY APPEARANCES

#26 I could be a distant relative of Daryl Hannah

    "SPLASH" (PUSHED OFF THE BOAT)

#27 I was asked a question, that provided a quick response

"WHERE ARE THE KEYS" - WITH A RIFLE IN MY FACE

#28 I was involved in a bit of a rough ride

A VERY BUMPY DIRT ROAD ON THE WAY TO THE BOAT

#29 At some point or another, I experienced some pain

HIT IN THE FACE, HOOD OF TRUCK ON MY HAND ETC

#30 At some stage or another, I was in a wrong position

CAN'T QUITE REMEMBER WHAT THAT RELATED TO, BUT MORE OR LESS WHEN THE GRENADES ARE BEING DROPPED ON THE TRUCK AND CONNERY DRIVING, AND MYSELF IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. SOMETHING TO DO WITH A SEATING POSITION

#31 Three is not always the greatest number

CONNERY AND ROMANOVA WANT TO BE ALONE ON THE BOAT AND I WAS A LOOSE PASSENGER

#32 Something came down, in more ways than one

GRENADES FROM THE HELICOPTER, HOOD OF TRUCK ON MY HAND

#33 Someone else experienced similar circumstances to me, that was in close proximity

I WAS OUT OF THINGS FOR A WHILE WHEN BOND PUNCHED ME, AND ROMANOVA WAS "SLEEPING IT OFF" IN THE BACK OF THE TRUCK

#34 There were some magnificent men, that weren't so magnificent

THE TWO MEN IN THE HELICOPTER (FLYING MACHINE) THAT CRASHED AND BURNED

#35 I don't have much to say. (But) When it is necessary, those words maybe saved my life

THE RESPONSE OF THE LOCATION OF THE KEYS WHEN BOND AIMED A GUN AT MY FACE

#36 I am someone who may get in the way of things

PARKING OFF TRUCK ON THE RAILWAY TRACK FOR GRANTS INTENDED ESCAPE

#37 I'm not really a dangerous character, although my actions may prove so

SEE THE ABOVE. COULD OF CAUSED A POSSIBLE DERAILMENT

#38 There is a specific color involved if you can look hard enough

THE YELLOW OF THE HELICOPTER, TRUCK ALSO THAT WAS INVOLVED

#39 I was in great danger, and then it was the turn of someone else

GRENADES COMING DOWN WHILE IN TRUCK - CONNERY EXPOSED TO FURTHER ATTACK WHEN OUT ON HIS OWN WITH THE SNIPERS RIFLE

#40 I had a short journey, but it was not a pleasure trip

SHORT LIVED BOAT TRIP - PLEASURABLE ENOUGH FOR MOST PEOPLE - BUT IT ENDED IN HUMILIATION WHEN THROWN IN THE WATER

#41 Some would say what eventually occured to me, was beneficial to my appearance

A SCRUFFY AND DIRTY APPEARANCE - THROWN INTO WATER

#42 I had a 'Daniel Craig moment' out of Skyfall

    HANDS TIED BEHIND MY BACK

#43 There was a game of hide and seek - that I did not win

COULD NOT FIND GRANT - DID NOT SEE BOND HIDING - I LOST OUT

#44 It looked for a while as though my time had come - but survived to see another day

PUT AT INCREDIBLE RISK MY WAY OF THE GRENADE ATTACK ON THE TRUCK I WAS IN, BUT LIVED TO TELL

#45 I was told which direction to go, that seemed rather obvious

PUTTING FOOT ON THE BOAT AT END OF TRUCK RIDE, CONNERY SAYS "THIS WAY PLEASE" (NO OTHER DIRECTION TO TAKE)

#46 I don't have much to say, and even when I do, people can't always understand me

GRUMBLING IN A HARDLY AUDIBLE WAY IN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE THAT MANY COULD NOT COMPREHEND

#47 I could be what you call, a 'paper' character

A PIECE OF PAPER BLOWS BEHIND ME, CLEARLY VISIBLE, WHEN SEARCHING FOR GRANT AND BEFORE GOING TO BACK TO THE TRUCK

#48 I had little choice but to comply with what someone requested

I DIDN'T ARGUE WHEN CONNERY PUT A RIFLE TO MY NOSE AND ASKED FOR SOMETHING. (MAYBE ANOTHER THING BUT UNABLE TO RECALL RIGHT NOW)

#49 I saw some explosive action - but missed out on more

WITNESS TO THE CRASH AND BURN OF HELICOPTER - BUT MISSED OUT WHEN BOND AND ROMANOVA GOT FURTHER AHEAD AND BOND BLEW UP SOME ENEMY BOATS. (WHERE THERE'S SMOKE THERE'S FIRE ETC)

#50 I had a good seat for some entertainment

SAT IN THE TRUCK WHEN CONNERY ATTEMPTS TO SHOOT DOWN THE ENEMY HELICOPTER (AND IS SUCCESSFUL), AND BOND RUNNING AROUND TRYING TO STAY OUT OF HARMS WAY BEFORE IT

There completes All answers to clues for the last round

Just bumping the list of clues to the new page:
    +++

I probably put a little too much faith in upper management.

No more apples would have sprung from this land if my job had seen completion.

I can be seen hobnobbing with the Elite or I can be found in the lowest of places.

If I even had a little bit of an aptitude for reading people, I probably could have seen things going the way they did much earlier.

Death is just out of sight in water and in air.

I wore the appropriate equipment, it didn’t seem to make a difference.

I come across as friendly, but I’m actually a crude individual.

My last job had me dealing with something that was the focus of another Bond film

Bond takes something from me upon our first meeting, but I don’t notice. I’m not the only one.

Ringo Starr and I have some things in common.

If a certain large vegetable had done a little more of a background check, I wouldn’t look like me. (I will be very impressed if someone puts this last clue together)
    [/quote]

My next guess (not at all confident): Gustav Graves?

  • I just updated all clues for the last round as some requested for anyone who may miss it, and with it, an attempt at Max Zorin for the new round underway. Thanks
