No to all of the above. My red herring is working well.

Neither of them. It would be interesting to hear how people are connecting their guesses to the clues.

I was originally thinking of Dr. No of course due to your use of the name "Honey" so I was looking at supporting characters in that film. But I think that word may be your red herring. Care to own up? No, I didn't think so. ;)

    OK, new guess: Kerim
(it is a wild guess, ok? no real reason ...)

The clue does not relate to Honey Ryder, but the term is used for a specific reason.

Count that as your extra piece of info for the day.

An update on the challenge so far. I have changed 'him' to 'me' in the first clue in order to be consistent with the use of the first person.

No further clues should be necessary; you have the all the information you need (quite literally).

    Clues:

    Bond won't need me again.

One of my orders is repeated.

Honey is glad I'm not her man.

In my true form, I'm a university professor.

Look closely and you'll find that tying a rope to a post is essential.
