    Good guess, but it's not Wai Lin.

    Clue explanations-

    1. It seems that I am being ignored

    Asks M if her talk is boring her when M is whispering to Tanner.

    2. I am in imminent danger, but I am unaware

    Silva is on his way to the courtroom, but she does not know and her life is at potential risk.

    3. It could be said that I'm a bit of a "desk" character

    1. She hides under a desk when Silva bursts through the courtroom doors
    2. The fact that she is an MP and is involved in inquiries like this means that she will have a lot of "desk" work.

    4. I managed to escape, but some were not so lucky

    She escapes the courtroom with aid, but Mallory is shot, along with some others.

    5. Something was not right, so I hid promptly

    As soon as the "police officer" enters the room (and begins firing) she ducks under her desk very quickly.

    6. Riveting stuff, but I am not amused.

    Dowar remains stony faced through Ms recital of Tennyson.

    7. It seems that Justice is against us

    Silva is disguised as a police officer (justice) etc.

    8. The interests of my country are at my heart

    It is her duty to criticise and scrutinise British Intelligence for the good of the people.

    9. It seems that you cannot be trusted with the simplest of things

    Constantly criticises M for the whole hard drive fiasco.

    10. My speech was rudely interrupted

    She is told to shut up and let M speak in her defence by Tanner.

    I was in the middle of guessing M from SF and suddenly Clair Dowar clicked instead.

    I'll have a think about a new character tomorrow as my mind is going a mile a minute right now...
