A few new clues:
1. I'm not fond of questions, though I sure ask enough of them.
2. Bond and I discuss dining options; his tastes are a little more refined.
3. I'm the last of a kind.
4. Does my name ring any bells?
5. Dammit Jim, I'm a doctor, not an explorer!
6. Up means down?

DR. CHRISTMAS JONES
1. I'm not fond of questions, though I sure ask enough of them.
[She's avoiding those kinds of questions, but it feels like she's always asking Bond something (Who are you? What's the deal with you and Elektra? Are you going to do what I think you're going to do?)]
2. Bond and I discuss dining options; his tastes are a little more refined.
[Bond enjoys champagne with caviar; Christmas enjoys sour cream.]
3. I'm the last of a kind.
[She's the last 20th century Bond girl.]
4. Does my name ring any bells?
[Silver Bells, Jingle Bells, Carol of the Bells, and so on.]
5. Dammit Jim, I'm a doctor, not an explorer!
[She's a physicist, not a globe-trotting archeologist like that other famous Jones—although technically they are both doctors...]
6. Up means down?
["Going up then?"]
Over to you, 4EverBonded.
Please give me several hours, and I will have a new one up. Thanks!!
This is a named character with dialog.
Okay, let's start with these:
1) There is pain and violence in my past and present life.
2) Gold is part of my world, in more ways than one.
The character is none of those guessed. (Don't worry, my rounds are short - I cannot for the life of me be consistently vague, mysterious, or too obscure in my hints). ;)
Incorrect guesses:
Bullion
Goldfinger
Scaramanga
Silva
Tilly Masterson
Adding 2 more clues:
1) There is pain and violence in my past and present life.
2) Gold is part of my world, in more ways than one.
3) I am not shy or retiring.
4) I enjoy the finer things in life.
But no, not Tracy or Mr. Solo.
Incorrect guesses:
Bullion
Draco
Goldfinger
Mr. Solo
Scaramanga
Silva
Tilly Masterson
Tracy

3) I am not shy or retiring.
4) I enjoy the finer things in life.
5) I may seem warm and welcoming at times, but do not doubt the awful things I have done in my past or to what lengths I am willing to go. I take risks.

7) What the heck is that awful noise, anyway? I must put up with it at times it seems.
I am so happy it lasted this long. Not bad at all for me! I really wanted to get in my references to the way he died and Minnie Driver's singing.
Over to you, Birdleson - and below are the explanations of the clues. :>
1) There is pain and violence in my past and present life. Zukovsky is former KGB and continues to run arms and make all kinds of illegal dealings, no doubt with plenty of violence and death involved. Also, Bond injured him years ago and he still has that limp.
2) Gold is part of my world, in more ways than one. Just a vague reference to the name of the first film this character was in: Goldeneye, as well as a reference to Mr. Bullion, played by an actor with the professional name of Goldie.
3) I am not shy or retiring. Zukovsky is an expansive, outgoing, cheerful (though at times ominous underneath) and rather powerful gangster. He is also often loud as opposed to soft spoken.
4) I enjoy the finer things in life. Drinks, caviar, plenty of women, a high rolling casino lifestyle ...
5) I may seem warm and welcoming at times, but do not doubt the awful things I have done in my past or to what lengths I am willing to go. I take risks. Again a reference to the fact that his looks and manner can be deceiving but he has done plenty of violence or had it ordered. He takes a huge risk in TWINE storming Elektra's stronghold and breaking in to find her torturing Bond, all in the effort to try to find out what happened to his nephew (submarine commander).
6) When I die, I am at least being a helpful chap. He gets grim satisfaction it seems (I love the way he and Bond look at each other) in shooting with accuracy to free Bond and therefore giving Bond a chance to kill Elektra, as well as stop the imminent disaster and save the world.
7) What the heck is that awful noise, anyway? I must put up with it at times it seems.
His girlfriend (played nicely with awful singing by Minnie Driver) tries her hand as a singer and screeches her way through a country song, heavy Russian accent and all.
I had no clue, not even any possible guess.
If so, well done, @Tokoloshe!
