Interesting task. I think Mr Osato has been used at least three times in the past year.
Literary Bond characters would put me right off as I simply don't know the novels well enough.
I used Blofeld's cat a while ago which didn't meet with any objection, although beyond the cat and the parrot it's hard to think of any other creature that could be clued. Humans only hasn't been stated as a rule but I don't mind if you want to make it so from now on.

It is indeed a very good guess. Bond's golf caddy Hawker from GF is the correct answer!
Clues are self-explanatory, no doubt. Number 2 refers to his observation that Goldfinger tees off when it should be Bond's turn on the final hole.
