I have slowly been going through all of the back pages compiling a master list of all characters already used. Getting through to page 45 took over an hour, so I don't expect to be done for a few weeks. I've already come across characters used as much as three times (in one instance twice by the same person).
In the early games things were a little more wild and free. Literary Bond characters were used, as well as characters from CR '67.

Interesting task. I think Mr Osato has been used at least three times in the past year.

Literary Bond characters would put me right off as I simply don't know the novels well enough.

Neither Max's. Besides, I thought that we established a "humans only" rule.

I used Blofeld's cat a while ago which didn't meet with any objection, although beyond the cat and the parrot it's hard to think of any other creature that could be clued. Humans only hasn't been stated as a rule but I don't mind if you want to make it so from now on.

Far-fetched, but is it the fisherman from AVTAK?

I like O'Roarke, too But, alas, it was the confused fisherman I meant. He fits some clues, but admittedly not all.

Another long shot, but is it the government chappie from Blayden Estate House in TLD whom Necros forces into assisting the helicopter, then takes off without him?

Played by Anthony Carrick, apparently. Not named but just listed as a secretary.

That was a good character to use and there were some really interesting guesses from everyone. Nice round.

Agreed! Well played. It was the clue about being left stranded that pointed me in the right direction.

    Off we go again..,

Named speaking character from official film. Two clues to start:

    1. I am considerably more sociable than my opposite number.

    2. That's out of order!

    Hawker?

It is indeed a very good guess. Bond's golf caddy Hawker from GF is the correct answer!

Clues are self-explanatory, no doubt. Number 2 refers to his observation that Goldfinger tees off when it should be Bond's turn on the final hole.

    Over to you, SKOH.

I always loved the way that scene plays out. You know that Hawker has seen his fair share of highfalootins playing golf and finally some revenge is enacted on them. When he cries out "It's your honor sir!!" Bond has to remind him of the big picture and to let it go.

Well played, looking forward to the next one!
  • Oh great, I got it! I'll try to have a new character up soon.
