    The next clue is a companion to the last one.

    I'm sorry for the delay.
    Yes, once again our resident genius @Tokoloshe has cracked the code.
    It is indeed Captain Benson from TSWLM.

    1) I certainly have options when it comes to communication.
    I have three different colored telephones on my desk.

    2) My request was denied but I wasn't offended by it.
    I asked Sir Frederick Gray where the trace came from but was denied the answer.

    3) I'm probably not going to bet it all on red.
    Red is not my lucky color. I got the bad news of the missing sub on the red telephone. Also, Bond put his copy of the sub's route over my red line of it.

    4) I have the authority to operate the authority.
    Specifically, the Polaris Operating Authority, which I open for everyone.

    5) It was positively shocking when the moment of truth arrived.
    When Bond showed us that someone knew the sub's precise route.

    6) In the past, I was very interested in the past.
    In 1969, George Baker played Sir Hilary Bray. Bray was of course a genealogist who was interested in ancestry.

    7) In fact, there was a time when I was completely flattered by Bond.
    If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery then Bond flattered me by pretending to be Sir Hilary Bray in OHMSS.

    Bond (Moore), Q and Benson (as Bray) had appeared in at least one previous film.
