    Nothing yet. Fascinating guess though @DrGorner.

    1) Patience is a virtue that I must possess to perform my duties.
    2) There could be some confusion over which country you can currently find me in.
    3) My appearance is in line with what you'd expect me to look like.
    4) I virtually blend in with the surroundings on first acquaintance.

    Supposedly, they are in California. The building was "transported" from France. The scenes were actually shot in France though.

    He looks like the stereotypical butler.

    When we first meet him, he blends right into the room with the black and white tiled floor.

    I looked up the actor who played Cavendish, since I didn't know who it was. Coincidentally, tomorrow is the 20th anniversary of his death:
