I'm not just spitballing, I had a list of a few more characters I wanted to try (that I was relatively confident on) before returning to the drawing board.
1) It's not difficult to find me, as long as you know where to look.
2) I don't know why you say goodbye.
3) If only we had paid more attention.
4) I'm on a schedule.
5) The authorities were baffled.
6) The Beatles wrote a song about this situation.
7) If I were fighting in the war, whose side would I be on?
8) I'm probably not invited.

12) I missed out on all the excitement.

It is indeed Charlie (the driver who picks Bond up from the airport) from LALD!
1) It's not difficult to find me, as long as you know where to look.
Bond has a tag on his luggage with Charlie's license plate number on it.
2) I don't know why you say goodbye.
I say hello when I answer the phone! I wanted to feature some McCartney lyrics to give you a hint that the character was from LALD.
3) If only we had paid more attention.
To the white pimpmobile that pulled up alongside of us!
4) I'm on a schedule.
He must pick up Bond from the airport at the correct time and deliver him to Felix's office within a half hour.
5) The authorities were baffled.
You can hear one of the cops say, "What is that?" when inspecting Charlie's head.
6) The Beatles wrote a song about this situation.
Drive My Car.
7) If I were fighting in the war, whose side would I be on?
The Vietnam War was still going on in 1973. Charlie was a name given to the Viet Cong by U.S. soldiers.

Bond tells Felix he can buy him the best lunch in New York. Charlie probably isn't invited.
9) Bond would prefer to remain whole.
"Easy, Charlie. Let's get there in one piece."

Joie Chitwood was a race car driver and stuntman. He was credited as the Stunt Coordinator for LALD.

He appears to have a "lead foot" when he stomps on the gas pedal!

Whisper sped off after the assassination, which caught Bond's attention. Bond was later able to identify the car and its license plate.

Bond is picked up from JFK Airport and then driven along FDR Drive.

At first, Bond doesn't notice what has happened to Charlie.

Charlie has a pink shirt. Connery wore a pink tie in the previous Guy Hamilton film, DAF.

He really doesn't say a whole lot.
I had a few other clues to play yet, but I am still satisfied with how this round turned out. Thank you, everyone. It's not easy (but a hell of a lot of fun) to keep these things going, as you're all so knowledgeable about Bond.
