As he attempts to dislodge the third piton, he is struck in the heart and dies.

Bond was going up, and eventually he got to the top. Whereas Apostis, coming down, fell to his death.

Apostis became too desperately absorbed on dislodging Bond's third piton. If he looked up he could have simply shot Bond.
7. I tried and tried, then died.
Instead, he tries desperately to dislodge the piton and dies.

Taking the ATAC from Bond and delivering it to Kristatos.

1. A co-operative job that was 50% complete.
- Both Marchetti and the helicopter gunner succeed in taking out Bond's plane, but they don't succeed in killing Bond/Camille.
2. This interruption is finalized later.
- He interrupts Camille's story with gunfire, whom later explains why she's with Greene.
3. If you don't know what I'm saying, someone will help you.
- He speaks in Spanish, so subtitles are provided.
4. A man of monsters may be among us.
- Guillermo del Toro, a famed horror director, provided voices for the film and is said to be the voice of the helicopter pilot.
5. I see you, but can you see me?
- He manages to evade Bond's eyesight throughout almost the entire chase, relying on Camille to guide him.
6. I oversee some failed improvisation.
- Bond tries to land the plane in the middle of a field, before running out of room and being forced to take flight again.
7. My efforts will result in my downfall.
- He blows the left engine, which later billows smoke in his path and doesn't allow him to see, which causes him to crash and die.
8. Can you feel the wind?
- He shoots numerous holes into the plane.
9. Looking up at the ground.
- He flies over Bond's plane while upside down.
10. Someone's about to be happily upset.
- The man who gives Bond the plane receives the car as collateral and more for selling him out, which is good, but he will still be upset to find out that his plane was destroyed.
11. For the 50% that is successful, you may want to heed that advice.
- He succeeds in blowing up the plane, and Camille takes Bond's advice on putting on the parachute, which saves their lives.
